Paul Pogba

I've got a funny feeling that we'll end up getting him.

1. Woodward would love to get such a coup and to stop him going to Spain.
2. While some say it's embarrassing for us to bring him back, it wasn't Woodward and Van Gaal's "mistake". Making amends is a big plus.
3. Van Gaal is a known admirer, singing his praises at the World Cup. He's probably the ultimate upgrade on Fellaini. Same physique and presence with added football.

If City get Pogba, we'd better have our eyes on Verratti and Schneiderlin.

I've actually been thinking about this aswell. It wouldn't surprise me at all if van Gaal went for him. We need power in midfield as currently only Rooney and Fellaini offer this, Woodward loves his big name signings and van Gaal might have a plan to develop Pogba further.

Van Gaal won't care that he's a youth player who left, he might even just see it as a bonus as he already knows the club.

For the prices talked about I would much rather 2 of the following 3... Scheiderlin, Xhaka, Gundogan...

just me though I guess... :nervous:.

Schneiderlin and Pogba would be the perfect blend.

6: Carrick, Schneiderlin, Blind
8: Herrera, Pogba, Schneiderlin
10: Pogba, Di Maria, Mata, Fellaini

That would be us sorted for the next 5 years. Champions league potential.

Unfortunately I think he'll end up at one of the big boys in Spain.

Would have thought Real will be strengthening their centre midfield since it took one injury to Modric to result in Ramos playing there. Khedira and Illaramendi probably both out the door as well. Pogba would fit their galactico policy as well since I can't see them signing another high profile attacking player this summer.

Or he might be inclined to stay at Juve for 1 more year before heading to Barcelona. They're midfield may also need an injection with Xavi and Iniesta not getting any younger.

We could learn a thing or two from Juventus on how to pimp out a player. There's an international public auction going on for this guy.
It's mostly to do with his talent and agent that have drove the price up.

If he goes to barce or real then who cares, we were never going to get him. But his agent has been patient and seems intent on him moving this summer and it looks like its between english clubs mostly.

We're the richest english club with the most history, if he comes here it should be to us.

I was just having a browse through a Juve forum. There's a surprising amount of hope on there that he'll stay. Most of it seems to be revolving around his missus being from Turin.

Same with any fan forum to be honest, everyone's very protective over their star players. It is something a lot of people are guilty of overlooking to be fair, including me, there is every chance Pogba is happy in Turin and stays there this summer. A league title, again, and CL semi-finalists with every chance of reaching the final, it's not beyond the realms of possibility Juventus give him a payrise and he agrees to stay another year or two.

I read somewhere that the club would only go for him if he himself showed interest in the move, and that will never happen with all the options he have.

Could of course be bullsh*t, but i think that is the right approach to it.

I only want players at the club that really want to play for us like Mata and Herrera for example.

He's not coming back to us. He'll either go to City or Real, I don't think PSG can afford him under FFP. I think we'll end up with Gundogan instead.

I agree, that is my other worry, we already know he is trouble do we want him and possible causing tension in the dressing room.

The issue is he wants to play for Barca or Madrid. If he goes to an English club or PSG he will start planning his next move, constant stories in the papers....thats what he did with Juve. He is a menace.

Don't know where u guys are getting this "trouble" from. He has never said he wants to leave Juve and always was very respectful of the club when talking to the media.

He has been very professional for us and I don't have one bad thing to say about him since he joined us.

comments in here are hilarious. id bet good money that he's going nowhere.

He'll go on to be the new Toure for them and their fans will rub it in our faces
