Don't think he's leaving this summer. Beppe has recently said that he isn't selling, and he generally doesn't lie about transfers. Think them doing as well as they have in the CL has them feeling as though they are getting closer and closer to being 'elite' again, and that it wouldn't be aided by selling one of the most recognisable players in world football. Reckon if they get to the final of the CL then he certainly wouldn't be going anywhere under any conditions.

Smalling and Chicharito may count but other than that we've unearthed very little.

He's a cb/cm. Plays nothing like Pogba aside from the fact that both players are athletic. He's really good at tackling, has good technique, and can pass it around. Pogba is more attacking oriented with greater technique.
He is starting against Cagliari, scored with a deflected shot and does not look rusty at all. At this rate, he will certainly play at Wednesday and might even start.
We will need him badly for the semi final, his powerful runs from midfield will really keep Madrid on their toes.
After Madrid's last couple of games, and probably the 2nd leg of the CL semi, there's no way they won't be at the very top of the queue wanting, and needing, Pogba.

We dont need twats like him at the club - regardless of talent, of which he hasnt a patch on Gundogan on form or Pirlo at 80, in terms of a controlling midfielder / passmaster general etc etc..
He scores the odd spectacular goal & then is deemed a brilliant midfielder?! The new Viera my arse & not an ounce of Scholesy's ability or mentality either.
To summarise: I hate the c*nt & think he's wildly overrated due to his goal scoring from midfield. Big time Charlie isnt even close to that prick's mentality & we should avoid him like the feckin plague & not beg the poor hard-done-by fella to come back.

He's not really a big time charlie. He left to play more football...one of the better reasons tbf.

He's also got vision and is able to dribble past players. His passing is good, but is definitely not on the level of Scholes. He'll continue to get better at controlling the midfield. He's got everything else.

The money being touted for him is becoming insane day by day. Yes, he scores nice goals but has he shown that he can control the games, because that's what we are missing from midfield. We have enough goalscoring midfielders at the moment.

Wherever he does go people will somewhat underwhelmed. He's a fantastic talent and a cert to become one of the best around but he's quite far from a consistent world class midfield right now.

I agree with you. It will be fantastic for whoever signs him, but I have a feeling he'll move on 3 years later and have his best years elsewhere (Madrid).
City seems logical, with Toure leaving. Chelsea don't seem to have place for him given they already have Fabregas. Both him and the latter would be overkill and Jose likes more workers.

For all intents and purposes, from what I'm reading here, Pogba seems like the new Yaya Toure. Complete with goal scoring ability, dribbling ability, technical ability, physical attributes and that prick of a personality.

While I do agree with that, why doesn't he just move to Madrid now? They are heavily linked with them, so why wait 3 or 4 years before moving there?

He very well might move to Madrid now. Wherever he's at, I just don't think he'll stick around for too long, though Madrid longer than if elsewhere. And that's not based on some deluded story I've told myself of why he left United now. I'll admit it's an instinctual thing based on quotes from him and his agent and knowing that there'll always be people offering huge money for him.
