Crazy that he's our top goalscorer. Doesn't say much for our forward players, does it. Played well today. The chip looked bad, but I think he was trying to keep possession rather than showboat. He saw a player beyond the defender in front of him, and messed it up. Similar to Rio against Bellamy back in the 4-3.
Martial will overtake him soon

Would have been MOTM without that silly thing that led to their pen-I know 90% was good but that mistake could have cost us and will against better teams. Overall though much better last 2.5 league games from him and all of the team.

I honestly didn't mind his flick attempt to Mata. I love seeing that in football, and we've sorely missed that sort of flair from our game for many, many years now.

It didn't come off, and it could've cost us, but I liked the thought behind it and would love to see him continue trying things like that. Football is about entertainment and I love that stuff.

No excuses for the mistake he made that led to their penalty, same halfway line sloppiness as against Wolves, but I am sure Souness will be busting the lube out to disect that moment. Beyond that he was good, always the creative hub and we only ever really play any decent football when he's on form, his link-up play with Martial on the left is very promising.

I think that's the 3rd time this season where he loses the ball in our half, and it's led to a goal?

I love the guy, but he needs to cut out.

Agreed, and it only cost us cause Mata was a little too weak & Smalling had a shocking moment.

Take that flair away from Pogba and he’s half the player.

Same for me. We take the good with the bad.

Yes he lost possession for the goal, but no chance should Smalling of dived in and gave it away. If Smalling doesn’t do that it doesn’t even get discussed.

I hate this penalty run-up. It was funny the first couple of time, but now it's just annoying. More annoying when he missed it as it makes him look stupider. Needs to cut that shit out.

Overall, an excellent game from him. Yeah, he lost the ball again at the half line but the pen was on Smalling.

You don't have to take that flair away from Pogba though. You just have to get him to make good decisions as to when and where to use that flair. Getting him to keep it simple in that position at that stage of the game would actively make him a better player. It's about game intelligence rather than flair.

I agree. No offence to Mata as he was alright today, but if that flick had been to, say, Martial, I'm sure they could've somewhat controlled it or at least put up a fight for it, and if they had we would've gone on to be on the frontfoot out of nothing.
Same for me. We take the good with the bad.
Definitely! With Pogba, you do get a bit of the bad, but the good makes it worth it

He was brilliant for the most part and put together another very good game.

His error though that led to the eventual Everton goal perfectly captures the arrogance/football IQ that is holding him back from being one of the best in the world. The situation (your half) nor the teammate (Mata - smaller player) were present and a leading player simply cannot be that careless.

Very good today. He has generally been very good this season. In a way I’m glad he made that mistake that led to the goal because maybe now he will realize that the hate he gets is because of his immaturity and not because the media hates him. Always trying to skill in the dumbest areas. This might just be a turning point in his career when he realizes he actually almost cost us.

He seemed pissed off with himself today which was actually good to see. The mistakes he made today may serve him well for the rest of the season. If he can develop a bit more humility and awareness he could be unstoppable.

This cnut winds me up no end, all the gear but no idea. He could be one of the best players in the world if he just stopped playing for himself and kind of “grew up” in footballing terms. That stupidity for their equaliser is what really frustrates me with him and it gave them a look in. He could be MOTM every weekend without that silliness.

Good performance from him but that penalty run up winds me up! How does that make his chances of scoring any greater?

It sums Pogba up in a nutshell. Dude loves to make everything a “show”. Just fecking play normally.

A good game, mostly effective, some very smart play. All the good stuff came from the French boys.

Can't warm to the guy, but the end product is starting to justify the hype

Again, a top class overall performance but he costs us a goal. He’s extremely hard to love.

Brilliant, again. Daft for their goal, but arguably it shouldn't have cost us the way it did.

is all that matters. Another goal and assist. Should've had 2 assists if not for lukaku messing up. Our top goal scorer with martial. Nuff said

I thought he was very good but would you really trust him right now in big games if we were competing?

Those saying they don't mind the flick would soon change their mind if it was the latter stages of the CL i think

Why do posters get all worked up about a pen run up. All that matters is that a player has a high conversion rate however he runs. Hazard doea his stop start and people credit him for the calmness but Pogba is a joke? The agenda with him seems as to extemely focus on his errors and drown out his otherwise excellent performances majority of games.

I'll give him a pass for the chip. It looked as though he didn't have a lot of options, but wanted to play it out. Too often we lump it long, and if we want to play out from the back, we need to accept occasionally we will overplay it. Besides, it wasn't a goal scoring oppotunity until Smalling made that silly challenge.

Overall had another great game, and seemed to enjoy having that additional movement up top and additional movement and energy in midfield from Fred. Get Herrera in for Matic and there's the potential for a really mobile, fluid passing midfield.

The man played in the WC final so trust in big games is not an issue. I wouldn't trust any of the defenders or Lukaku in big games. This team needs an influx of better technical players which will raise the level of the entire team including the few high skilled players that MUN currently field.

I wouldn't. If it happens regularly then it might be a problem, but when a players has the level of flair and creativity Pogba has, vyou need to give him a bit of breathing space.

Other than his mistake and a couple of sloppy passes in the last few minutes, I thought he was brilliant, especially in the first half. Unplayable when he's on it like that.

Even with the two errors (and I hate the penalty run-up as much as anyone) I'm honestly surprised that there isn't more praise for his performance today. The rest of the game he was absolutely outstanding - watching this guy in full flow is as good as it gets. His passing was unreal today as was his skill on the ball.

Don't like the way he conducts himself at times, but geez, if you can't give him credit after a performance like this then you must take very little joy from watching top quality football.

Him and Martial were a class apart. The guy gets blamed for everything though. Everything is his fault even when he scores and assists. His level of consistency this season has been really good.

We'd be useless without him.
