Raiola isn't going to let his client play another season in EL while Barca are knocking on the door that's for sure.

Pogba isn't going to be the one pushing for the move. Raiola will.

You're missing my point. Paul joined us when we were in EL and finished 6th. Turning down Madrid in the process.
You're projecting your insecurities onto the players and in doing so are muddying the waters for yourself.
Its like the United fans in the DDG thread hoping be leaves us because he deserves better. What the feck is going on?
Maybe they should simply stop supporting United and move on themselves.

I am not insecure, I just live in reality and I'll say again...I wouldnt blame Pogba (or DDG) for moving on at the end of the season.
I still support United but watching our team play has been a joyless chore and has been for a long time, I can only imagine what the players are feeling.

He’s got a contract until 2022 - what is Raiola going to do? Throw chairs at Ed?

If Raiola convinced Pogba to ask to leave, I don't think we'll keep a player willing to move at this point. We'll use the contract length to get as much money as possible from Barca but we can't force him to stay.

I don't think Pogba himself will be pushing much for a move, but Raiola controls most of his clients as his puppets and convince them to do what he want.

Normally I would agree, but Pogba is vital to Woodward. There is a lot of personal prestige for him, and not to mention the commercial value. We’ll see!

Hopefully. Don't want to lose anyone important the upcoming summer.

I think his performances have been extremely overrated this season.
Hes been good but nothing special in the majority of games ive seen him play.

Reminds me a bit of Rooney when Moyes was here. Misplaced passes, dispossed time and time again. Everyone overrated his performances because he was the best out of a bad bunch.

That being said the talent is there and under a different manager i can see him excelling.

Man Utd 2:1 Everton
Away from stupid run up for the pen and their game, as usual great game from him. Needs to cut these moments from his game though.

Bar that ridiculous flick to mata, he played an excellent game. Brilliant but flawed player.

Played very well apart from the stupid mistake that led to the penalty.

He’s made it so all people will talk about is that stupid pass. There’s a time and place for it and that wasn’t it. Good game apart from that though.

Goal and an assist. One stupid moment followed by another stupid moment by Smalling. It happens.

Don't think it's anything we didn't already know.

He's immature despite having bagfuls of talent. He's not a player you build a team around - you can't depend on him to keep his head from start to finish.

Also he can fcuk off for that daft penalty run up. I'm sorry but he'll be quite rightly made fun off for that and he should be.

Played very well but 2 keys moments could have cost us. Awful pen but fortunately let off and got a lucky rebound, and losing possession for the Everton pen, if only he could do it easy.

Usual Pogba today.
He's talented and showed it but has little to no game sense.
The poor penalty and the bizzare decision in midfield ruined what would have been a good performance from him.

Need him, Martial and Dave to sign. The new manager and DoF can work from there.

He's far and away our best player, followed closely by Martial. Brainless when he started showboating but he was so good the rest of the game it's hard to be too annoyed. Played one of the best passes I've seen from him today, first time curler with pace to Martial(?) early in the first half.

He's never captain material.

Still has these stupid immature errors in his game, and at this point I imagine they'll always be a part of his game.

It's so frustrating because overall he was very good today, he just makes poor decisions.

Class on the ball and really good in attack today, best I've seen in ages. Some of the runs and how he was popping up wide and all over the place was great. And that one pass out wide to Martial was just sublime.

But on the other hand, how can you claim to be world class though when you're consistently involved in conceding goals? The giveaways plus the lack of any defensive input conpletely dampens anything good he does in attack. The Gylfi header chance sums up his tracking back, he'll run back while actively avoiding trying to actually mark anyone. It isn't good enough. If all he wants to do is attack then he can't be a midfielder.

Pretty much the perfect game for everyone. If you love him, you'll focus on the fact that his general play was excellent, if you hate him you'll focus on the big error and the penalty miss. Personally I was pretty happy, just needs to cut out the daft shit sometimes. Same time it's worth remembering the daft shit got us a goal last week.

Not sure why people take a forensic look at his game. For once let's focus on the 95% of the game and not the 5% shall we....

A superb performance marred to a small extent by a reminder of his tenancy to cock up at least once a game for no apparent reason. His passing, touch, drive etc was all stop class today. The turnover for their goal was very typical of him as well sadly. You could tell that it was him over indulging rather than being an honest mistake. Needs to cut that out. If he does he could one of the best.

But kudos to him. Played very and drove us forward.

Great game. I just hate this trend of blaming him for goals conceded as if its an automatic goal when giving the ball away 40 yards from goal.

Take him off penalties, he's honestly a joke taking them

Not the brightest, but clearly our best player. Give him a free role at this point. He's the only creative player we have.

People act like that goal was all his fault. It wasn't clever sure but he had a damn good game today. Smalling was just braindead going in like that.

Agree with this. He is the only player who doesn't go hiding and has the courage/quality to drive us forward.

Showing time and time again he's class above everyone on the pitch.

Needs better defensive protection so he can move more freely as he's more of a creative attacking asset.

Everything Scholes said about him is true: from the sublime to the ridiculous week after week. Thankfully it didn’t cost us like against Wolves. World class talent but his decision making...

He had very good game, it was between him and Martial for man of the match. His passing is so good.

Difference is that Pogba is one of our best players whereas Smalling is Smalling. We hope for more from one than the other.

This. There's no way Smalling should have gone for the tackle, considering the angle.

This season has been much better from him compared to his first 2 disappointing ones. Yes, he has still had moments of lax concentration and switching off at bad times but far less than before. Just being punished when he does make a mental mistake more than previously.

I do think the WC experience has helped his game to mature, still has some way to go but the production is there.

He looks like an utter knob with that run up on penalties though, just unnecessarily narcissistic. Zaza got pelters for his miss for Italy, but his run up was the amateur version of what Pogba does.

Crazy that he's our top goalscorer. Doesn't say much for our forward players, does it. Played well today. The chip looked bad, but I think he was trying to keep possession rather than showboat. He saw a player beyond the defender in front of him, and messed it up. Similar to Rio against Bellamy back in the 4-3.
