He was ok in the first half. Some nice passes. Never seemed to get out of 2nd gear though.
It needs to be discussed without people having a fecking meltdown. There’s no broader point or agenda. Pogbas form has been absolutely dreadful, despite looking like the best player in the league in the immediate after math of solskjaer. I would say confidently his last top performance was against Chelsea in the cup and the game before that was an anonymous big game performance vs PSG.

Terrible today, a liability every time he got the ball. His worst game since Ole took over.

He's inconsistent, nothing new.
I couldn't care less if he leaves. In fact I'd gladly sell him. His image and transfer value are miles above what his actual performance levels are worth. Take the £200m and get some actual world class players who are capable of actually performing consistently not when they feel like it.

If our opponents battle us in midfield he becomes useless. He cannot run a midfield, he needs his teammates to do it so he can focus just on attacking.

He didn't even need to run a whole midfield, just that bit to the left of the diamond we played. It's not his position, it's his mentality.
He's playing cm, he's supposed to be one of the main players to control the midfield.
Can we keep gambling on that level of inconsistency. Do we have any clue what type of performance we will get from him vs Barca next week. It’s not good enough, and if a gun was to my head I’d say an average performance is more likely that him just dominating the game. I like Pogba and would like to keep him, but if the offer is big nenough and the staff feel they have a clear plan for a style without him, I’d say goodbye

Tie between Herrera and Matic. Pogba atleast made some quality passes in between doing step overs near our own box.
Patchy performance, linked well with Mata in the first half in our best spell, had to come deeper in the 2nd as Matic and Herrera couldn't pick a pass.
He plays in spells, always has. I love the idea of a dominant Pogba in midfield, a proper midfield role and not just a luxury attacking player than he can be, but he shows few signs of wanting to take on that responsibility game in game out. Incredible talent but you really need a top class midfield around him to make up for his lack of focus and that is disappointing.
If we can get someone who has a better mentality and is more consistent, I won't mind selling him.

Been brilliant for most of the games since Ole took over, his performance levels have dropped but that could be said of most of the players too. We need to stop this nonsense because a player as a few bad games. Seen the same nonsense said about Rashford and similar about Martial.

As long as we rely on Pogba our game is going to suffer since he is inconsistent and always will be.

Preaching to the quire. I said last season that his bottom level is too low to build the team around. In order for someone to run the midfield they need to have an incredible consistency in passing and positioning. Pogba is a high risk player, with regular lapses in concentration. He is a hybrid between a midfielder and attacker.
These aren't just one off games either, Pogba will have stretches of games where he looks inept. The talent is obviously there but something is just missing.
Personally I would relegate him to a periphery figure, and get a midfielder in that can run a game. Let him do his step overs and feints far away from goal in the environment he enjoys. Pogba playing in deep positions is decent at best, in attacking positions he is elite.
Played in a 3, has all the freedom in the world now, have runners up front, playing at home, manager who give him better treatment , why have the performances dipped?

It’s not always about vultures. Most people want to see him do well and have no personal issue. But while his stats are good he was dreadful under mourinho, incredible for a while under solskjaer and has mostly been as bad as he ever has since PSG home leg, Chelsea cup performance aside.
For a player we pin a huge amount of our hopes on, at a time of rebuilding this summer, we need to seriously ask two questions.
A) is he worth the gamble of having weeks of poor form at a time, seemingly without reason.
B) even if he is, will he just cause a headache with wanting to leave next year instead.
We need consistency, on the field and in the squad. I’m not sure Pogba provides either.
Maybe because Pogba never played at his best with a #10 in front of him whether here or with Juventus.
The awful performances by Herrera and Matic also don't help him.
But we must stop the excuses. Sell him for 20 millions to Madrid or Juventus before they change their mind !
Are we talking pre or post Ole cause Pogs has been brilliant since. I love how despite we recognise the difficulties of the players under Jose but include that when we want to criticise him. All players have a dip in form but it just looks more obvious with you are playing along side two very average players.
