If he suddenly performs then he has no respect for the fans and has been purposefully half arising.
If the new manager comes in and does well then yeah everyone will improve due to the tactics but there's been elements of Pogba's play that have been shit that go beyond tactics.

Let's hope no manager in the future ever needs to drop him for bad form because we'll have these issues again. I think its naive to assume his issues are just related to Jose but we'll see. He just needs to shut up and perform now.

I think Pogba genuinely loves this club. Mourinho is possibly the most toxic modern manager I have ever seen. His fallout with Casillas, Ramos, Pepe and Ronaldo were all something else. He even shared the same agent with the latter two and still that didnt stop him.
I am hopeful that things will get better going forward.
Maybe he like 90%of the United fans were absolutely sick of Mourinho here and that situation made it hard for him to be at his best? He can put in the effort, but when you arent happy, you arent going to play at your best. I'd expect most players out there to improve now. Nothing to do with respect.

He seemed to be singled out more than anyone else too, while the likes of Matic avoided any criticism from Jose. To me, it’s not any surprise that he played like shit. He was one of our best players going back a couple of months when this all kicked off again.

What is this Pogba wasnt trying? I remember the Newcasle game where we got behind and won mostly because of how Pogba played. I would argue that Mourinho has been kept as United manager because his ''enemies'' (Martial and Pogba) actually did well and saved some games for Mourinho.
Pogba has been big success elsewhere, for Juventus and France. So, with Mourinho now gone, let’s see how good he can be.
Fault on both sides between Mourinho and Pogba this season, but Mourinho is ultimately accountable. Time to press the reset button now. He's got most of a season to put in some effort and show he wants to make it here now Jose is gone. If not we should get rid in the Summer.

I think we’ll see a lot of the same flaws in Pogba’s game under a new manager. We saw them when he played for France after all. Hopefully we’ll be too busy attacking for the flaws to be as big a problem as they were under Mourinho. Pogba sure as shit isn’t suited to Mourinho’s style of football and all the good stuff he does will be more noticeable if we spend more of every game attacking.

I genuinely want him to do one if he doesn't up his game/attitude by the summer. If it's not working, then sell him while his stock is still high. We could get someone 75% of his quality, but 200% times the attitude.

no he doesn't get any credit for putting in a bang average performance. Jesus christ This applies to all players but will be the most relevant to Pogba. Mou leaving is a blank slate, it's his chance to impose himself on the next few games and get a bit of arrogance back on the pitch, if we play attacking football he should be at the centre of it. If he now discovers and maintains some form his reputation will rocket again. I think he's a player who can drag our team up a level if he can be bothered, I'm really hoping this whole saga turns out to be a turning point for him.

When Pogba let his fat agent offer him to Manchester City and St. Pep Guardiola thought it was a classy thing to casually make this fact known to the public on the exact day before the derby, it only made Pogba hungry to finally step up and really lead the team for a change, at least in the second half of that match.
He also showed great resilience after his father passed, if my memory serves me well he scored in the first two game after he came back from that (one being the Europa Leage final). So hopefully we will see more of this mentality in the next months, he can be a super player if he's fully focused and feels like he has a point to prove.
