Patrick Dorgu | Medical today? No. Weekend.

If he's the man, just pay it, we paid big for Amad at the time, if he's good enough, just pay and move onto next target. Beggars can't be choosers and we are winning out of time.

Beggars can't waste their money or overpay.

We signed Diallo for €37m in 2020, he was just as raw as Dorgu back then. If Ruben thinks he is good enough I trust him.

Even worse. Youtube compilation. :)
When player looks average on those then something is wrong.
You've just revolutionized scouting forever. Forget attending matches and pouring over hours and hours of film. Find some guy on the internet and let him watch a YouTube compilation! You've just saved clubs a lot of money in overhead costs.

We have to walk away at that price. We must have alternative names we are looking at and we also need to be ok with not doing business in this window if we are just going to get fleeced.
Spot on. There's really no need to panic in this window.

Walk away. Otherwise the message is still that we will eventually pay whatever the original asking price is if you stand firm.

Even if he’s really good we have to change the narrative around our transfers. Wait till summer if needed.

We’ve done that for years and ended up being actual beggars.

Nothing will change if nothing changes. We gabr Ajax what they want, and Sanchez what he wants, and Juve what they want.

5m is not nothing. We’re cutting staff and firing people who are making a pittance.

We signed him for 18m, the other 18m was in add ons which as far as we know haven't ever been met

Just offer half the amount and let him stay there until the summer. It's exactly what Napoli were proposing.
Won’t help us now though will it. We’re still trying to move up the table and competing in the FA cup and Europa league.

You must be fun at parties.

No it wouldn't, but if we are adamant that he is the one we want, it would be prudent to negotiate a lower fee for the summer. We shouldn't be held to ransom.

Then tell them to do one and activate Alvaro’s clause.

Move on.
Get Fernandez - he could be easily sold with profit in 1-2 years if needed
Logic would suggest that if they wanted him we would have got him already. Also, no guarantee that the buyback is even active in this window.

Just don't think they rate him because it was under INEOS that we sold him.

I think they will pay the extra money and get it done. Doubt we have an abundance of other options at this stage in the window.

We’re absolute fecking muppets if we agree to this deal. Learn to walk away, please!

Definitely. The cycle of overpaying will never end if we don't start walking away from deals.

We've made a more than fair offer. Lecce would be making a 150x on their initial investment.

Not to mention they risk demoralising a player who they've denied a dream move.

Not everyones favorite but Reguilon would be available for loan again in this window, same with Chilwell. We also have a unicorn sighting as Shaw is back in training. We have to stop convincing ourselves that there is only one guy and we have to get him right now because that leads to Antony.

I don't think they want to loan in players, they seem keen on getting their actual choices moving forward. I'm happy with that personally.

€5m is nothing for us, we can afford that. We are going to end up with a Fellaini like situation, if we're not careful.

5m over 5 deals is a lot though, which is why we cant have the 'its only 5m' mentality

Hasn't Reguilon been playing a decent amount of matches for Spurs with their injuries?

He has made 4 appearances in all competitions and is very much available based on Comments from Ange. Not someone to get us excited but he at least is an option that would offer a higher degree of competence on that side than playing Dalot out of position. I am not advocating for it but just illustrating that there are alternatives to being held to ransom in January when clubs typically end up overpaying.

Lets be honest with ourselves here.

We're going to pay it or at least something close to it. Just depends how much is upfront and how much of it is in bonuses.

Get it done.
