It's gone quiet on this now. It doesn't look like Lecce are playing ball with the kid. Looks like the chance to play for United is slipping away.

Think this is a great video on why he could really make a difference for us:

Looks fine mate, he is in that video. What happened to Adam Clery?
He’s clearly had a bereavement or somethingLooks fine mate, he is in that video.
And they speak like they watch Lecce week in week out. Somehow I doubt that. He's been touted for a move to a top club for a while, also reported to be on Liverpool's shortlist to replace Robertson.
There's a weird tone in this thread that makes it sound like he's some random punt, rather than a fairly highly rated young player who was expected to move to a big club this year.

Have I missed something? How can we now bid 30m Euro? Haven't we only got rid of Antony on loan?
In PSR terms we only need to account for 6 million euros this season. Triggering the extension on Maguire and loaning out Antony has freed up nearly £8 million in PSR space.Have I missed something? How can we now bid 30m Euro? Haven't we only got rid of Antony on loan?
£70? I mean I'm no expert but that seems tight. In PSR terms we only need to account for 6 million euros this season. Triggering the extension on Maguire and loaning out Antony has freed up nearly £8 million in PSR space.
If we have the cash (I'm fairly sure we have £70 left on the credit facility) then there isn't an issue with the signing.
I won't pretend to understand how getting rid of Antony on loan frees up enough for this...We’d be spreading that €30m over the course of his contract. So only a percentage of the overall fee would initially go on the books now.
Incredibly£70? I mean I'm no expert but that seems tight.
Maguire contract extension helped us by about £6 million in the PSR calculations.I won't pretend to understand how getting rid of Antony on loan frees up enough for this...
With proper PSR amortization, that'll still get us a nice CF£70? I mean I'm no expert but that seems tight.
We could spend £300 with that! With proper PSR amortization, that'll still get us a nice CF
I also imagine the Garnacho must be closeMaguire contract extension helped us by about £6 million in the PSR calculations.
Yes but we don't need to sell Garnacho to facilitate this deal as there is now enough space in the PSR calculations.I also imagine the Garnacho must be close
Absolutely, it's a relatively low cost and exciting deal which should help the balance of the team a great deal.If he’s a progressive LWB then this should help us out massively. We don’t have runners in the wing back positions unless Amad plays there. We need someone to carry the ball into the final 3rd. This would be quite an exciting signing.
Ah right I see. I have only had a cursory look at the rules. I thought it was a max of 5 years of contract PSR would apply to?Maguire contract extension helped us by about £6 million in the PSR calculations.
Ah I seeYes but we don't need to sell Garnacho to facilitate this deal as there is now enough space in the PSR calculations.
It's not low cost at all. It's actually quite a big outlay for a player who looks quite raw and has very little experience in playing let alone being a wingback.Absolutely, it's a relatively low cost and exciting deal which should help the balance of the team a great deal.
It's a yearly cost of about £5 million. That is a relatively low cost on the books. It's not low cost at all. It's actually quite a big outlay for a player who looks quite raw and has very little experience in playing let alone being a wingback.
Unless theres the old Hojlund "youre paying for potential!" argument, which sort of falls on its arse after how Hojlund is doing
Yeah but he must be actually decent now seeing as all the Serie A fans said they think Lecce will get relegated without himIt's not low cost at all. It's actually quite a big outlay for a player who looks quite raw and has very little experience in playing let alone being a wingback.

its a 30mEUR fee is it? For a left back that has hardly any experience and looks like he's still quite raw. I'm sure you amortize other fullbacks to make them sound pretty in price per year, but it doesnt change the fact that this is flat out *not* a relatively low cost on the books to what you see in the market. It's a yearly cost of about £5 million. That is a relatively low cost on the books.
They're 1 point above the drop it's not really saying muchYeah but he must be actually decent now seeing as all the Serie A fans said they think Lecce will get relegated without him
