They aren't really hostages are they. You take hostages if you want something in return. They just want a high body count.

TBH, what I despise is religion that cannot hold a clear and loud message of peace that would totally discourage the majority of people who consider joining extremists.

I just find it hard to agree. These religious attacks seem to be carried out by normal people who are not evil. They truly believe in what they are doing and think it's the right thing to do.
More deaths. They have threats of bombs in there, they aren't going to risk every life in the building without a proper plan.
Not as long as you don't pose a political threat to their careers. This is not the time to beg our rulers for even more surveillance.
What is Egypt now? A majority Muslim country. Every country that they go in they have one goal and that is to become the majority faith. When they have a birth rate of 3.5 to 7 per couple it only takes a couple of centuries at most to do just that. France is the perfect example as I believe 30% of children under 16 are Muslim and that will soon become the majority faith within the next 30-40 years as they themselves breed compared to non-muslims. This is just the beginning for France, the very beginning.

I hope people don't take my post as some sort of 'excuse/justification' for terrorists or 'understanding'. I made none and will not make one. One person clearly misunderstood. I was simply responding to someone saying - don't terrorists realize acts like this make 'us' hate 'them' more.
I've been a member here for years now, and I've consistently said once you decide the way to get what you want is to kill innocent people...you don't deserve to be heard. I've said this even in the Israel/Palestine thread - where, people have sometimes justified some Israeli casualties as tit for tat for Palestinian civilian deaths.

Humanity is the cause, whether we had religion or not we as human beings would find something to give us cause to fight, to feel like we have meaning and something to make our actions just.
Religion isnt the cause, its just an easy source to blame other than our human nature.
