OT EVACUATED | Device signed as having been recovered, could NOT be detected by sniffer dogs

Talk now of the game being played tomorrow behind closed doors, which would make sense.

I bet the fans got more excitement and tension out of the last hour leading up to the game than they did watching our football the whole season.

Souness there giving his considered appraisal of the British security services. They do say talk about what you know...

fecks sake I don't know what channel to watch

Neil Ashton just said, citing a senior United source, there will be a controlled det (they will blow up the package) where it was found.

Mental watching sky broadcasting from the car park

Yep, it's surreal seeing them talk about an abandoned match, giving updates on the situation etc. Strange indeed.

So it sounds like there must be an actual device then... 100m evacuation radius etc.
A controlled explosion will be carried out. The same was done at a newcastle school in 2015, however it was found out that the device in school was NOT a bomb.

It could still be nothing, hopefully.

It's procedure to leave package deemed suspect untouched until the arrival of a bomb squad, so this may still turn out to be nothing.

Fiddling with it without protective clothing is just silly.

Jesus Christ. This is actually extremely serious!
Bomb squad going in for a controlled explosion, army searching the ground. Scary stuff!

I'd love to know how the feck it got there. They search every single person that goes in, and have random metal detecting searches too. I'm sure a box with a phone stuck on would be kind of bloody conspicuous too!

Inside job? Illuminati confirmed

I think Bournemouth will want the game replayed. They could move from 16th to 12th with a win and their prize money would be increased.

To be honest, seeing that bomb disposal van rolling into Old Trafford sent a horrible shiver down my spine.

This is just fecking shitty all around. Kudos to the stewards, club security and the police.

Crazy sh*t. Hope they know who it is and catch them quickly. Plus the whole cell or whatever did this. This can't happen in England, it just can't. :(

If City don't lose, it's more than likely we'd field full reserves for the game.
