OT EVACUATED | Device signed as having been recovered, could NOT be detected by sniffer dogs

There's 0 chance they won't play it if we have a chance at top 4. If it doesn't affect europa / CL places (which it will) then it might not get played

Fair play to our staff for finding it on time.

Van Gaal will probably find a way to say he noticed it first though.

This thread turned ugly pretty fast. Some unfunny jokes, stupid remarks and abusive language used in here. Not seen it before
City are going to lose and we're going to be handed a 0-0 draw aren't we....

Dont think so. Why should they do that?

surprised it took them this long to notice it. ronaldo had spied it years ago.

The original suspect package at OT can be found by typing "Paul Scholes Penis" into Google. Or just by looking at the photos on my wall, if you're nearby.

If City do lose, then I can't see how in anyway it would be possible for the FA to do this. There would be too much riding on the game.

May not have been to ground this year because fans have been patted down ever since the Paris bombings.
I gave up my season ticket last year, as travelling from uni in Bristol was taking it's toll on my finances, but I'd been patted down every game going into the Stretford End since 2012.

Was a bit nervy inside, won't lie
Esp being in the East stand and only us and the South still 'in our seats'

Will it be replayed or completely abandoned ? Sorry if the same question was answered already, I just got in.
Well if West Ham scores stays as it is, the game will have to be replayed to see who gets 5th as I think you qualify in a different round if you are 5th or 6th

Even if they win, there's still 5/6/7th place to sort out. Will definitely have to be replayed.

I like to think of the person that puts months and months into planning this and watching everyone calmly walking out into the sunshine

Or maybe nothing will go off but everyone will be talking about security...

It actually is insane... if you're a terrorist, surely this is where you set your bomb off?
Which is why they don't evacuate everyone in one go, it's done in an expanding ring starting closest to the suspect device. It's a known tactic to place a second device, or group of attackers, at the evacuation site.

I could see the FA scheduling the game on Wednesday or Thursday, we go into the Cup Final knackered, and we lose both games. That would just sum up the season.

It is not just City's result. The way West Ham and Soton results are going at this stage, this match will need to be replayed I think. Only in situation where we for sure finish 5th no matter what, 0-0 draw can be awarded. Bournemouth don't lose or gain much either way. Maybe little bit on prize money of final position but that differential will be small.

I would be more afraid outside than inside the stadium in that situation to be honest.

Second game in a row that our players can't just go out there and play. A sad ending. I just hope the FA cup final won't have the same fate.

In this instance they seemed to evacuate the whole of both stands in about 5 minutes... it's certainly left an incredibly crowded scene on the concourse.

No, it;ll have to be replayed as there are European implications for potentially 5 teams.

Reposting this from my earlier post, covers everything.

Rules On Abandoned Games:

The match can be played within 48 hours after the original kick-off

It can played anytime during an appropriate point in the season. None left however

However if the FA decides the game should not be replayed then the fixture will be recorded as a 0-0

The link has a lot more info. Obviously with UCL and/or UEL qualifications to be decided it will be replayed. So it will depend on results today, and the clubs will get a say about it most likely.

Well we wanted United to have a more explosive attack..

Bomb squad at old Trafford. Incredible.

Souness was saying he was patted down today. Says he doesn't remember being patted down at OT before. Indicates there was a threat before the game to me.

Yeah I thought that was really odd. Surely a pre-emptive warning must have been made.

Bomb squad arrived. Controlled explosion to be made. Crazy shit.
