OT EVACUATED | Device signed as having been recovered, could NOT be detected by sniffer dogs

Can see the club definitely pushing for the match to replayed rather than not getting it replayed and it being 0-0.

Hammers will get our Europa League spot.

Right thing. The alternative too horrific to think of.

Probably a lost/left bag as happens on the trains/airports.

If west ham win and southampton win do we not finish 7th with just a point.
no west ham are on equal points with us if they win as it is now a draw would put us above them. Southampton the same a win would put them on equal points with us as we are now.

Are there metal detectors at OT and football grounds in the UK? I'm trying to figure out how someone could've snuck possibly a bomb inside.

It was Blackpool v Huddersfield who was cancelled last season and didn't replay.

There is actually a twitter user (United fan) who threated to bomb Old Trafford if Van Gaal doesnt get the sack on the third of April... not a very smart post considering the events today.

fA should have really delayed the city game and then postponed there's...'but this is the FA after all
It doesn't make sense that way, if they were evacuated then post pone our game cus our game is must win no matter what their result wouldn't affect us playing for a draw or something

no west ham are on equal points with us if they win as it is now a draw would put us above them.

Actually West Ham are a point behind us, if they win they'll be on 65 points, if this game goes down as a draw we'll be on 64 which means we finish 6th

A sad day, a victory for the crazies. Means more security at stadiums. The days of knocking back a few pints and rolling into the stadium a few minutes before kickoff will be over.

If City win I'd say forget the rescheduling and just forfeit.
Anything in the use of 'abandoned' rather than postponed? Surely they won't just call it 0-0 and refund everyone?
Don't see how that can happen
Final League place determines prize money and us, Bournemouth, West Ham, Southampton and palace could all be effected... Plus Europa league qualification
Also if it does turn out to be a bomb I am sure there will be a desire to play the game and not be intimidated by it.

It took 12 days after Blackpool-Huddersfield last season for FA to decide not to play and have it as 0-0 draw.

Rules On Abandoned Games:

The match can be played within 48 hours after the original kick-off

It can played anytime during an apporitate point in the season. None left however

However if the FA decides the game should not be replayed then the fixture will be recorded as a 0-0

Wow! Imagine if this happened after City losing today :cool::cool:

By the time you think of a good one it'll be fine.

Too depressing to even try. Something about Depay and Falcao sitting next to each other set of the sniffer dogs?

Took 30 minutes for BBC News channel to do much more than a passing mention of a potential bomb scare causing the evacuation of 75'000 people....Instead harping on about fecking Boris Johnson.

Then when they do anything, its a 90 second phone interview with a fan outside who's been told nowt, before going onto Politics Europe.....

What the feck....

Just heard on the radio that fans were being searched 100 meters from the stadium, means the police must have had some information about a potential threat.

fA should have really delayed the city game and then postponed there's...'but this is the FA after all
If they do that they'd also have to postpone the West Ham and Southampton games too, and then the Arsenal game because City could finish above them and the Spurs game because they could finish below Arsenal.....

I'm a fool.

Read up your history you fecking tool! We had loads of hoax bomb threats during the IRA bombing campaign and Manchester was bombed too.

And what the feck has that got to do with my post?

Learn to fecking read. I said I hope this isn't a sign of things to come in the UK stadiums.

A hoax doesn't call off a game you dumb idiot. Police apparently knew quite early and didn't want to panic everybody. The intelligence service would have advised police.
