Had Derrick Henry turned to shit in the last year?
King Henry to the Ravens let’s gooooo
Deal is lower than I expected and surprised Titans didn't either tag him or extend him for a slightly higher amount than the $8m (rising to 10) he's getting with Baltimore. 2 years ago the Titans would have been looking for a McCaffrey like haul for him.No. Why?
Had Derrick Henry turned to shit in the last year?
I barely watched or took notice of the Titans and his stats last year which is why I asked. I remember 2 seasons ago in every Titans game the commentators would make a point to say that Henry gets better in the 4th quarter against tired defenses. Cue him doing feck all and them being all surprised by it and praising the defense to high water. He averaged 2 less yards per carry in the 4th quarter than he did in the 1st that season. It was pretty funny how they repeated the same old shite every game he was in.He's 30 and not nearly the player he was 4 years ago, so at the end of the day, this will probably end up being a very slight improvement on Edwards.
Niice
Came to post the exact same thing.Smart move, he's becoming more like Brady every year. Doesn't get mentioned enough that besides his obvious talent, good health and longevity, how much Brady's contract restructurings have freed up cap space for his teams over the years allowing them to compete for Super Bowls. Looks like Mahomes is willing to do the same.
I think Henry still has something left in the tank, and last year was a relatively "off year" for him re: usage if I remember correctly, don't know his exact carries but they sprinkled in Tyjae Spaers a bit more, didn't they? Was more of a backfield split than it used to be a few years ago.Meh. I don't particularly like this, I don't like signing 30+ RBs with a ton of wear on the tyres. I get why they did it, but I just don't like the move overall.
I do, however, like Queen going to Pittsburgh, are they short of LBs that can't play LB?
I'm a Patriots fan. Just didn't post much. But first, a shout out to all our resident members who make each NFL season even more memorable.

Done!
Done!I'm a Patriots fan. Just didn't post much.
I really don't know what the feck the Titans are thinking.
Step 1: trade away a 24 year old AJ Brown because you don't want to pay him
Step 2: draft Treylon Burks
Step 3: find out he's a bust and then pay 29 year old Calvin Ridley more than what Brown would have wanted two years ago
Such bad process. And it's not even like the Ridley contract is absurd or anything, he gets paid $23m on average which fits right in between Michael Pittman Jr. and Terry McLaurin, two receivers he's better than imo. Also has less wires on the tires because of injuries and suspension than a regular 29 year old, but still, I hope the contract has a few outs for the Titans after two years.
Should be putting up something like a 120-1,400-10 season though if he's the genuine #1 and Will Levis starts the entire year.
Still here occasionally!Done!

There were loads more Pats fans here during their glory days.
That has to put a breeze up your skirt, no doubt. Thought of you immediately when I read that.Ooohhh that's juicy

Proud JJ dynasty owner though so not sure I'd like JJ McCarthy there.
@RobinLFCVikings trade the 42nd, 188th and 2025 2nd Rd picks for Houstons 23rd and 232nd pick.
Vikings now have 2 picks in the first round so much more desirable capital to use to trade up.
Seems odd to do this when both teams have no idea what's available at 23. Not often do you see this kind of trade so long before the draft. I can see it for the Vikings if the idea is to trade the 2 firsts to move up for a QB, but for the Texans...why not just wait until draft day when other teams will give you better value because there's a player they love sitting at 23.

Pats are such a mess that a QB would be put in a very bad situation. There are reports that they wanna build O-line and WR first before committing to their new QB. Commanders are 100% staying put and drafting a QB imo, otherwise there was no point in trading Howell.@RobinLFC
I was about to question your draft prediction and why the Patriots would deal with the Vikings instead of taking a QB themselves but now I wouldn't be surprised if it's the Commanders pick that is the target. The Vikings could easily trade their current 2024 first round picks and next year or the 2026 first round pick.
There is also the possibility of targetting Herbert if the Chargers have any interest in McCarthy, which can be a way for them to fix their cap issues.
No, just the intricacy of the trade. Fits well into your (lovingly here) NFL geek zeitgeist. Why's that? I'm not a Vikings fan!
