Well obviously. I wouldn't think he'd come here though.

He's not coming to us.UEFA row stiffens Mourinho resolve to stay at Real

Jose Mourinho is more determined than ever to continue as Real Madrid coach despite his side's 2-0 defeat by Barcelona and the disciplinary case he faces for his post-match comments, the Portuguese said on Friday.
"I have more desire to continue as coach of Real Madrid," Mourinho told a news conference ahead of the club's La Liga match at home to Real Zaragoza on Saturday.

He's not coming to us.
It is his modus operandi. It has nada to do with over rating. He did the same thing at Chelsea when he went to the Nou Camp and was out played. He blamed it all on the ref, cost Anders Fisk his career and unleashed all sorts of conspiracy theories. As a result Barca had it rough at the Bridge with the next referee. Classic Jose.
It has zero to do with being idiots. In fact he is expecting them to be clever. Any ref worth his salt given the return leg is going to look at Barca more closely after this uproar to see what the fuss is about. If such a ref examines this past game, they will be sure to enter the next game with a slight bias against Barca for their play acting and surrounding the ref antics. I assure you refs hate being criticized but they hate being taken for a ride more. That is why for example certain players have suffered badly for getting the rep of being divers. How much more an entire team for doing the same?
Even in defeat the guy is too wily. He has come off as a greasy cnut but he is likely to get what he wants from all of it. A very anti Barca refereeing performance at the Nou Camp.
He's not coming to us.
Well firstly, he's bound to say that, he's not going to say 'I'm off to United, this is just a place holder' and secondly it's not up to him if he stays or not, he could just as easily be sacked and then come here.
He is almost certainly coming to us he has that big a hard on for United. Didn't someone uncover that clause in his contract that he can step down from Real if United come knocking?
Not sure whether United have a 'hardon' for him though.
I sure as feck don't.
I'd for prefer to see a youngish home grown manager to come here. Someone who has proved they are able to over-achieve witht he resourses they are given. Someone who has the potential to come here with a good reputation, and has the drive, determination and time to become a great.
IMO only one name sticks out. That man is Moyes. I see so much of Fergie in him, and I'd love to see him get a crack of the whip here. People all to often look for the short term fix for a problem. That short term fix could indeed be Mourinho. But one thing is certain, he won't be looking to make a legacy for himself at OT. Here today, gone tomorrow. No Thanks 'Great One'.

We shall see. I know for a fact Real are out. But I suspect they wont like how referees will treat them from now on.In this case, he wont get it at all. There is nothing that will happen - quiet the opposite, he made things pretty bad for himself. Plus, his team is as good as out, and everyone know they played shit, red card or no red card doesnt matter. In this case, no one is blaming the ref really, except for RM. Its not like his career will be over at all. And after such a big media hype, the next ref wont just act as Jose wants, cause that would mean he let himself influence by him.

The way you adore him is just getting so ridiculous and unbelievable.
With his stupid antics, he lost a lot of credit. Do you really want a manager who acts like a complete twat after each loss? Plus, his tactics have been very disappointing, in his own stadium, no attacking intent at all, with so much talent on the bench, totally giving in and let Barca play, that is just not what I want to see
You're correct that no-one is really blaming the ref. However, for the first time ever there is widespread talk and condemnation about the cheating ways of Barca, and that will surely be in the next referee's mind during the game. It's doubtful whether it'll help Real considering their position, but it could well help us in the final (if we make it, of course). The ref might just be less likely to fall for the 'woe is me, my head is broken' antics that Busquets and the others get up to.In this case, he wont get it at all. I don't want a meek shy manager here. The next manager needs arrogance, authority and a temper to keep the players in line.
Out of interest, what parts of Fergie do you see in Moyes?

Moyes has a temper, but he also has a modicome of self control (unlike the aforementioned great one), He's undoubtedly the most important person at his club however he doesn't put his own interests ahead of those of the club. He's cute in the transfer market and has made some excelent signings, his team generally plays a decent style of football when they're in a position to (shackled by a lack of money), they usually play much better in the second half of the season and they can be aggresive when required.
He managed to get Everton into a champions League position on a shoestring budget in 2005, for me that is a serious achievment.
I think that whoever follows SAF is going to have a fairly thankless task anyway. With the seeming unlimited fickle nature of our fans they will be on an uphill task from day 1 unless they produce silverware straight away.
Pep Guardiola anyone? Hopefully he can bring Messi along with him
They usually play better in the 2nd half of the season is a great point except for the fact he'd have us out of the title race by round 5 if we start the season like Everton do every season!!
Everything you've said applies to Mourinho, except Jose has done it better, has had much more success and has a much better chance of success.
Perhaps for the 2-3 seasons that he's here. But look at all the clubs he's left. i do't think anyone has mentioned that. He seems to leave clubs in turmoil when he leaves.

Also the man is an asshole. I hate his sneering attitude. he as the potential to turn us from the most loved club in the world to one of the most hated.
Remember his teams style of play from his time at chelsea. Full backs that wern't allowed to go past the halfway line etc. Look at the tactic he chose for the CL semi this week. How did real line up?? I think it was a new formation, 5-5-0!!
If Mourinho comes to this club, I would still love United, but I will never ever like or respect the man. How could I?? He's an ignoramous....
I don't quite understand why people believe, so adamantly, that Mourinho will manage us.
Yes he's said some kind words about us and there are some things that suggest it is a clear possibility. But that's all it is. Reading peoples comments here you'd think he's already signed a contract whereby he'll leave whatever he's doing the day Fergie calls it a day and rush to United abandoning whatever it is he's doing at the time.
I really don't see any certainty in such a thing when Fergie is still such a force and continues to want to a force in the game and at United. Obviously I'm one who doesn't really want Mourinho at United. I think he's brilliant but if it's possibly I'd like to see someone who can combine effective football with entertaining football. But of course it really depends on the options. I'm not against him either. If you give me 5 options and I think he's the best I'd pick him. I do have great respect for his abilities as a manager. Just think if there's a candidate who can get us playing with the flair that we're renown and famous for, that will be ideal.
Well obviously..
Timing is obviously the key word. If Fergie were to retire TODAY, it would be hard to look past Mourinho. Well, Fergie isn't retiring today. And I wouldn't at all be surprised to still find him at the helm in three years time. And when he does quit, who knows what the coaching map will look like, maybe there will be an option better than Mourinho.
So obviously all talk is about the present situation.
Pep Guardiola anyone?
When Fergie almost retired before Sven was the favourite to replace him.
Sven is Leicester manager now
By the time Fergie eventually decides to retire Jose could be managing Boro or Watford or Celtic.
Somehow I doubted, he basically has a choice of the biggest clubs in the world.
I wouldn't say he has the choice of the biggest clubs in the world, he's running out of choices.
My point is when Fergie does go (hopefully a long time from now), Jose could have gone through a few jobs... sacked by Real, walks out on City, sacked by Bolton after Owen Coyle leaves to succeed Sir Alex... We don't know.
Not sure why everyone seems so preoccupied with replacing Fergie so much lately.
He's running out of choices?
The only ones who wouldn't employ Jose Mourinho given the chance is Barcelona and Man Utd (until Sir Alex retires).
Inter wouldn't want him back, Milan wouldn't have him either, Juventus...? doubt that.
Chelsea...? not while Roman's pulling the strings.
I think he's probably fecked himself for the United job
Arsenal...? he'd want a fortune to spend, not likely
That only leaves that lot over at Wastelands.
I don't think Milan and Juve would want the baggage that comes with Jose.
