NBA 2018-2019

Another 27 points from "the King." The man is just unstoppable.

Lakers needed him to go on a Harden streak to win all those games lost. He either hasn't fully recovered (which is a possibility as that was a serious injury for him) or he's getting old
I'm not sure he's got that kind of play in him any more. There's no shame in that though and he did have 27-8-6 which is still pretty darn good.

Let's just make sure James is 100% at the start of next season, lose all our remaining games and try to get nice odds to land Zion or a top 5 talent. Getting below Memphis should be possible, but the cellar of East is probably out of reach :(

Yeah, LeBron should be shut down now. Even if Lakers go 13-5 from here, which is virtually impossible turnaround considering the form they have been in, that's probably not enough to make the playoffs.

I hope Lakers don't somehow sneak in and get Zion. They are the lottery team that deserve him the least. Actually I feel the only team truly 'deserving' of Zion are Atlanta. Make it happen, Trae and Zion.

Don't think it's possible. Even if we get into the Grizzlies' spot, we have a 9%-9.6% chance at a top 3 pick while the first three teams have a 14%-12.7% chance.

The odds are much more flat this year which means all of bottom 10 teams will still have a fairly decent chance. To be fair there's not that much difference between being the worst team and having 14% odds and being sixth worst and having 9% chance, you still do not expect to land no. 1 most of the time.

However the benefit of being the bottom 3 is that you cannot land below no. 5 (if you are the worst) and no. 7 (third worst, if they are VERY unlucky). Not so important this year as in 2019 draft no. 1 pick is far ahead of no. 2 who appears to be far ahead of the rest of the best.

The group behind Zion and Barrett, consisting of Reddish, Culver, Bol, Morant, Hunter etc. all seem to be at similar level. I've seen players like Langofrd, Hayes and Clarke being mocked in top 10 as well as totally outside of lottery. Nobody really knows what is going to happen. Last mock I saw had Little, K. Porter and Hachimura all going in mid-10s - up until two weeks ago I had all of them in top 10.

Wasn’t funny the previous 28 times, isn’t funny now. And I actually enjoy them losing.
What are you going on about? All I said was that you can't stop LeBron. His career average for points is 27 and no matter the circumstances he's probably going to give you something around that no matter what. What's wrong with that? I also further clarified it.

What's are the odds of the Bulls getting Zion? Are they better than the miracle of getting Rose?

They currently have a 12.5% chance to get #1 pick, which would increase to 14.0% (most) if they end the season as one of the worst three teams.

You can find an overview of the odds here.

You were clearly not praising him there, considering they lost the game and it wasn't particularly close.

Both the warriors and the bucks have had some weird losses lately.

Bucks lost two in a row but prior to that they had been 22-4 (!!) since the beginning of the year, they are in very good form. They just cannot figure out Suns.

way better chance

still not likely though, but then again Rose was an absolute fluke

I love OJ Mayo and Michael Beasley sandwiched in between Rose and Westbrook.

i remember at the time some people arguing for Beasley over Rose  not too many of course but there were definitely a few

For the first time in a long time I actually felt sorry for James after last night's game. Lonzo is out, Ingram is out and then Kuzma gets hurt and he still gives you 27. Not praising him, just pointing out that even when things are going poorly he's still impossible to stop.

Okay then

Think it's just us wanting to show Bledsoe up or something.

Our best defensive games have probably came from our games against them :lol::lol:

Even if the Lakers get Zion I imagine they'll trade him for an established piece. Similar to the Wiggins for Love deal when LeBron went back to Cleveland.

Yeah Davis trade imminent.

Not a chance they get Zion though.

Little to no chance anyone is trading the best college prospect since James imo. But like Sarni already said, there's also (little to) no chance we'll get him, unfortunately.

So 3 teams now tied for 3rd in the West, it's going to be interested, although Rockets have GSW and Phili in the next 4.

Such a missed opportunity for Portland to go 1 game clear. Up by 4 against tanking Memphis going into the final quarter and you somehow lose by 9, inexcusable. This is the issue with this team, they have these brain farts way too frequently to be taken seriously.

Regardless who we play in the playoffs this year I will be happy just to avoid a sweep. Losing 1-4 would be good. 2-4 would be great.

I feel for the Kings. They lost so many close games recently, lack of experience is hurting them.

Lakers are giving up this season. They've announced that LeBron is going to be on minutes restriction for the rest of the season.

Yeah thats what I mean, feels like its too late for him to win at the lakers.

I don’t think he will win another title as the best player on his team. Even if they get AD the price they will pay will probably mean they will not be competitive anyway.
