NBA 2018-2019

And while discussing "the fact" yesterday I completely forgot that you also thought it was pretty much a fact Zion was leaving Pelicans in 6-7 years. You have a strange perception of facts.
Saying he will leave in 7 years is another absurd statement by SportingCP clearly.

They could have probably replaced Barnes with about 10 different small forwards and still won the championship, yes. He was important to them though.

They've done very well building that team. I'm very excited about what Travis Schlenck is going to do with Hawks because I have a feeling he's building something special there as well. Warriors front office is pretty amazing to be fair, Jerry West is another one they owe a lot to.
Which is what I have been saying for the past hour while being attacked for it in this thread. I even stayed he was a good starter.

But you know feck me so.

Fully agree. Predicting 7 years into the future is pretty much always silly.
Predicting that such a marketable player will leave to a much bigger market in 7 years truly Is shocking.

It's fine if you don't agree with it because everyone has an opinion. But to say it is nonsense or does not make sense at all and then make it seem like everything I say makes no sense when I just made a lay out of everything I ever said in this thread where nothing I said was bad like you claim it to be. Like I said I dont know what you have against me but:confused:

That is a mindfeck sentence tbf.

FVV’s turnaround in the playoffs was incredible. I was here criticizing him after he was terrible against Orlando and Sixers, then all of a sudden he becomes this amazing bench guy shooting everything from three. It’s like two different people.

Congrats Kawhi on winning* the 2019 finals

*obligatory Steph Curry asterisk because someone on the other team got injured

It was wild to see them running switch then iso for him with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter when Kawhi was on the court. Happened 2 or 3 times.

Yeah good shout. His turnaround happened after his son was born, game 3 against the Bucks I believe.

feck all the asterisk talk.

Golden State won their first of this run against Cleveland with Kyrie AND Love injured. No asterik there.

Golden State rushed their stars back in desperate fashion amd paid the price.

We are the Champions!!!!!

Still don't understand how Klay Thompson was able to jog back in. Maybe it's a very mild tear, but damn it, it's still an ACL tear. Can't do nothing when it happens.

Thurman Thomas claims he played his entire career with a torn ACL. John Elway as well.

Hines Ward had no ACL in his left knee.

It's certainly got to be genetics for some.

Love the Raptors, always followed from afar since I went to my first NBA game in 2010: Raptors v Heat at the Air Canada centre.

Got a childish photo of James and Gay standing next to each other names facing me. Toronto got pumped. Proud of these lads.

So 5 years after they won that title you are still mentioning who Cleveland were missing but you want no asterisk here . ..

yes no asterisk.

we beat golden state THREE times at Oracle. Deserved champions with a well balanced attack and a defense stronger than Golden State could handle.

Thanks - nice video! Let’s go Raps!

20 years down the line most people wouldn't care about the reasons for this series win so there will be no asterisks to the title. At this moment Toronto are everyone's favourite team because they beat the warriors but that will change soon. If Kawhi stays and they are competing for a few years then people will start hating them too and all their playoff losses will suddenly be discussed with the asterisk that the title in 2019 was won when Warriors had injuries . That is how it goes

Not much to think about then. They should immediately tell Kawhi to feck off from Toronto and pray they never win another title with this team.

Well I am just telling you how sports fandom goes. Do you really think that if Kawhi was injured and warriors had won this people wouldn't be lining up in this thread to discuss every single asterisk from 2015. For most people this title win will leave a feeling that things could have been much different. It's not Raptors fault but I will be shocked if people aren't mentioning it more 2 years from now .

Don't think they will. Look, Toronto still went into the game as massive underdogs, people were talking about a sweep ffs and atm when Klay got injured they were up 3-2 being a better team. They also had a game winning shot to win the series 4-1.
They absolutely deserved it.

It can happen, a friend of mine had a torn ACL, waiting for a few months for the knee to not be swollen and pain free and was able to play football back again. Not as well as before but he did.
