NBA 2018-2019

I think the Blazers were going to win anyway but that was an unfortunate end to the game. The original Draymond Green foul was a hard foul but it didn't appear to be much more than that. Oh well!

Green should not be on the floor for the way he immediately runs to the referees after everything that remotely resembles a foul. Awful, hateable character.

Great win for Portland. It’ll be good to have some of this memories when the season ends in April.

Maybe Curry should've focused more on team play instead of going for 30+ points. 2 assists, yikes.

Yeah must be annoying for Warriors fans to see that stat padder take 14 three pointers when he is hitting them at 36% in the game. They would have had a chance if he had any desire to defer to anybody on his team. Durant was hitting 75% of his threes but Curry would just refuse to give him the ball. Awful.

Every. Single. Time. The refs give him way too much leeway. If any other player reacted the way he does they'd get a technical. Green rarely gets them for his complaining but it is ridiculous.

:lol::lol: Yikes indeed

I like the energy Green brings but he's a terrible player IMHO, terrible as in his behavior (this season he sucks in general). He's a loudmouth who screams "And one!!" every time he goes to the basket. It's automatic

edit: Siakam for most improved player ?

Yeah it's not even exaggeration, he does that on every single possession.

His biggest value to the team is that he disrupts the opposition by being a dick, basically.

Oh it's the monthly let's shit on the warriors day in this thread today . Some things never change

Green is the biggest punk there is. He had the audacity to mock Gobert after he teared-up the other week, when Green cries to the refs any chance he gets.

It's amazing that he doesn't get technical fouls more often when he's blasting refs. I read an interesting point somewhere (maybe here?) about this - Green gets away with it because everyone is used to his petulant behavior, whereas if a quietly spoken player gets fired up the refs aren't used to it, so he'll get tech'd.

True, greatst scorers shouldn't try their hardest to score, or they'd be compared to a guy called Kobe Bryant who was shit at BBall and only won 5 rings.

In all of this what gets lost is that Blazers beat Warriors 35-12 in the fourth.

Jake Layman is turning into a good player, Rodney Hood looks like a good addition and I am pretty excited to see what Kanter can do.

I believe 36% is Harden's CAREER average, so while it was not a great outing for Steph it wasn't terrible especially on a night where Klay was 2-16 from the field. In addition, he missed his last 4 shots so for the first three quarters he was at 50%. The Blazers shut him down in the 4th - credit where credit is due. As to padding stats, this is a guy that invariably doesn't play in the 4th quarter if the team is in front so that is not a fair criticism to make either. The best example I can give is the consecutive 3 point steak that Steph had going over a 2 year period. He had 157 games with a made three pointer, but in the game where the streak was finally broken the Dubs were down by a bunch so he came out of the game with over 4 minutes to go. The game was lost so the streak didn't matter.

I have no problem with Harden trying to score. The problem I have is that he is being lauded for a streak that he (and his team mates to be fair) seems to be keeping going at what sometimes appears to be the good of the team. If the Rockets were winning every game I'd be cheering along with the rest but last night he took 34 shots for his 42 points. As a comparison, the Wolves top 2 scorers (KAT and Jeff Teague) took 34 shots between them but scored 52 points. It's great if one man can do it all, but IMLTHO you've got to win for it to mean anything. I said the same thing a couple of years ago with Russell Westbrook's triple double streak. On the surface it's spectacular but they only won 46 games for the season. I believe what he's doing this year is a lot more impressive because OKC is winning. He appears to have taken a step back, stopped shooting so many ridiculous shots and the team is benefitting.

To be fair, it's not the Warriors people are giving a hard time to, but if you can't take it you shoudn't dish it out.
Why are Warriors fans such massive snowflakes.
Please! I give shit, I expect shit. It's part of the game.

I wonder if any of them can name a single player pre the Curry era.

Lee and Ellis don't count.
Baron Davis and Jason Richardson  Davis on AK47 is one of my fav playoff moments ever, I think.

I'm guessing I've probably followed the Dubs longer than you've been alive. As to David Lee, he's not pre-Curry.

Who would you rather take the shots at this rockets team? Did you look at the box score and see the percentages last night? Rockets main problem last night imo was lack of Capela.

It's not just the shots it's the entire way they play. Did you not notice in the 35 minutes that Chris Paul was on the floor the team was +4, but in the 40 minutes that James Harden was on the floor they were -14.

You mean Paul who shot 30% last night?

Do you just not understand? When James Harden is on the floor the Rockets play a certain way. This contributes to every players' performance - including their shooting percentages. With James Harden on the floor the team was -14. The players have crappy shooting percentages because Harden is the focus of the team. The rest of the players take what they can get. When Chris Paul is on the floor without Harden, the team plays entirely different. When he was pulling the strings the team was +4. Harden is extremely impressive and I fear the Rockets more than any other team but this streak is killing them. The sooner it's over and they can go back to playing a more team oriented basketball, the better they will be.

Yeah I know you're an old schooler. I'm not talking about you guys, but the typical GSW bandwagoners.

im a Bulls fan, but i remember loving that early 90s team, tim hardaway, spreewell, mullin, then adding webber... before it all went to shit

Take a look how Minnesota's bench performed vs their starters. You're misleading people that don't know how +/- works.

+/- is a bad measure of performance and frankly almost pointless.

deandre jordan is shooting 65%. why didnt luka doncic just give the ball to deandre jordan and let him dunk it?
Now you're just being facetious (more my style than yours I thought) plus the fact DeAndre is now in New York. ;)

What a weird game between Pelicans v Thunder. Westbrook played very well and was efficient, George was shooting terribly from three but still got decent numbers. Davis played less than 16 minutes, Randle and Holiday both balled. Thunder did not really play badly but still lost to a team that's not really that interested in winning.

Magic have won all their games since getting Fultz. 5 in a row now.

Thunder D wasn't great, lots of layups. The refs also did some homecooking imo. And then George missed all those 3s as you mentioned. Pelicans fans were not interested in watching this game, arena was half empty.

Pels should be trying to be worse than Wizards. They are not going to be worse than Knicks, Cavs, Bulls, Suns, Grizzlies and Hawks anymore but they can still end up with 7th best odds at no. 1. They need to stop winning.

I love all star weekend. I mean I love Saturday and Sunday.

For nothing else, I always rewatch great moments.
