Just checked - drafted by Griffin in June and traded to the Wolves in August as part of the Kevin Love trade.
He was traded for love after lebron signed back.
Don't be too down, and I say this as a Knicks fan. We still have a lot of reasons to be optimistic this Summer. We have a better future than both the Lakers and Pelicans (even with Zion) IMO. AD will leave Nola regardless.
I'm not sure I like the fit of Davis and Zion anyway. LeBron and Davis either.

iF we attempt to trade for AD I hope we dont give up Robnson. And ya Nolo is a small basketball market they wont sniff a second round playoff at all. He will be gone that much is.given half of his career will be a waist like AD.
I think the only "pull" NY has to Make a trade is the possibility to reunite Zion and RJ together and build a future good team MAYBE. Along with a few of Knicks young core.
What exactly do you think you can offer for Anthony Davis?
And why would reuniting Barrett and Williamson be a good thing? Barrett isnt that great of a prospect and he somehow took 40% more shots than Zion last year.

Knicks could offer the 3rd pick (RJ) along with Kevin Knox, Mitchell Robinson and the 2 first round mavericks picks.
Thats more then what LA could offer granted I think its A LOT to offer.
They have that chemistry of playing together at Duke and coupled with everything I posted above they would set up there franchise for the next 10 years.

There are a lot of interesting pieces and David Griffin is decent. Its foolish to make some of the grand proclamations you have made.
New Orleans never built well around Anthony Davis. They didn't deserve another generational player. That being said, it's pretty fecking hilarious.
It's really not that foolish. 10 different teams have won titles in the last 35 years, and I'm willing to bet that NOLA won't be added to that list in the next five years.
They fecked up AD's first years in the league and even if they do better with Zion, the West is stacked and the odds are against them. Of course you can never look that far in the future, but I'd say it's very likely that they won't win a championship in the near future.

I can say that Sporting will win the Champions league in the next 6 Years because we have no idea what will happen in the future but we both know that will never happen. This is similar except Nolo obviously have a better chance at winning in there Sport then Sporting in football. The point is I would bet my left nut they dont even get to a conference finals in 6 years let alone win a chip. then like I said a bigger market is where he is headed. There is a reason AD wont stay there even with Zion and its because he knows they wont win anything.
29/30 teams have <50% odds to win a championship in the next 5 years. That's a really pedantic reading of the conversation. I think they can win playoff series within 5 years.
The Pelicans couldn't manage to build around Davis, and is a strong candidate to be moved as the attendance sucks. I'd be absolutely shocked if a team of Zion, Jrue and some Laker cast offs were to be a title contender in the next 5 years.
Think you can say that about any team in the league though right now.

Davis wont stay because they made bad moves and didnt contend. If they make good moves with Zion and contend, he might stay. You don't know that they wont make good moves and thus you dont know he will leave. Garnett stayed in Minnesota for 12 years. Duncan stayed in San Antonio his whole career. Nowitzki stayed in Dallas his whole career. Durant was in OKC for 9 years. Westbrook is still in OKC. Kemba Walker - 8 and counting in Charlotte. John Wall - 9 and counting in Washington. Lillard - 7 and counting in Portland. Aldridge was in Portland for 9. Mike Conley - 12 and counting in Memphis. Marc Gasol - 11 in Memphis.
The idea that Zion will automatically leave is wrong.
They had a different GM who made short sighted moves because they wanted to demonstrate to their star that they could win. It helped them compete earlier but lowered their overall ceiling, like Cleveland did in Lebrons first stint.
You are spitting at New Orleans for no reason, condemning them to failure and saying they will be shit and Zion will leave them just because they ended up above you in lottery. If you got no. 1 (because of being an utterly shit franchise for years which resulted in higher lottery odds) and they ended up 3rd or 4th you wouldn't even comment on them but because they stole Zion that only beautiful Knicks deserves you are shitting on them.
