NBA 2018-2019

terrible possession to end the half for portland. lillard dribbling with no urgency at all in the backcourt even when down to 7 seconds. the warriors trap him at half court and they end up turning it over without getting off a shot.

All that is ok but did you see Steph hit the back iron from 50 feet with his left hand FFS

Interesting stat I hear Today on the ringer podcast- Not a single lottery pick in the lineups for the Eastern conference final

Kawhi was 15th pick. Giannis was 15th pick. Steph was 7th, Dame was 6th, Klay was 11th, Jokic was 41st.

Granted Lebron/KD/Harden/AD are top picks but that stat is a great advert for proper drafting.

Game 1 is not really important because it’s just game 1.

Getting no. 3 is good. Knicks had just 14% chance to get no. 1.

Happy for Pels for getting no. 1. Rebuild fast tracked. They will probably get that no. 4 as well.

We are probably not going to win tonight.
I feel bad for Zion who clearly did not want to go there but who would? he wont win a ring there they have no real exciting players and they are not a basketball city ( I know I sound salty and its because I am) Zion and NYC was a match made in heaven. *KILL ME

How do you know Zion did not want to go there? He has said multiple times that he will go to whoever selects him so it’s a very strange conclusion to make.

NY had 14% chance at Zion and 86% chance of not getting him. It’s really not strange.

Pelicans could likely end up with no. 4 and no. 6 as well if they want to. Trade AD for no. 4, Kuzma, Ingram and Ball. Then trade Ball to Phoenix for no. 6 as they want a point guard and Ja will be gone.

Dame still terrible. Aside from third quarter of game 6 against Denver he has been awful since the shot.

You tell me.. NY or New Orleans?

Steph still brilliant. Aside from first half of game 6 against Houston he has been tremendous since the injury. ;)

It doesn’t mean he didn’t want to go there. He will be a star in New Orleans, likely playing with a great young core. He could easily be down to disrespected and called out as incompetent by Kyrie Irving two months into his spell with the Knicks.

When has he been injured? Or is it another made up excuse just in case Warriors lose against Bucks like they did against Cavs in 2016?

When has he been injured?
"The injury." The one that everybody on sports television has been talking about for almost a week.

I was being a smart ass. The Dubs just won. Let me have my moment. :)

Ah okay so probably another ‘injury’ to excuse him just in case he has a stinker again.

There is no injury. His shooting since KD has gone is with the same injury as when KD was there. Difference is he is making the plays they need him to without KD.

He will be a star anywhere.

Do the pelicans have a great young core? Genuine question.

You all are really missing the joke. So it must really have been bad. I was parodying @Sarni 's post. He referred to "the shot" which I assumed was Lillard's against OKC. I was referring to "the injury" as in Kevin Durant's injury.

I'll get me coat.

Yeah... I didnt get that at all. Unfortunately if you have to explain a joke....

I thought Steph had another ‘injury’.

You're better than this (or are you ?)

After hearing for 3 years that the only reason Warriors lost to Cavs was because ‘Steph wasn’t well’ I am really not. It seems he is injured every time he doesn’t shoot at least 40% from three.

His face and the reports say he wasn't too "happy" about it.

This draft class is decent besides Zion. Morant is the next best option and then there is a big drop off between 2nd and 3rd. RJ wont make it in this league. Knicks lost again.

Fair enough. I'm not so sure Kuzma and Ingram are a great young core but we shall see.

I’m thinking about what they can get in this draft too. Maybe Knicks trade no. 3 and pieces to them. And if Lakers do that trade they will get no. 4 and possibly no. 6 (I think Ball immediately goes to Suns).

They dont. He wont win anything in NO and will be knocked out first round of playoffs every season. IF THAT. He will be gone in 6 years, Those fans dont even fill that arena I feel bad for him wasted 6 years of a career.

man what are you talking about. they will trade davis for a good package and have a competitive team as early as next year.

They will have a decent team at best. No team will offer them more then what the lakers did and they dont have a team to be competitive in the west. Like I said first round exit for a majority of his 6 years and then he is out of there as fast as he can.

So starting over.

Good win tonight. Great from Steph and pretty good from Klay and the bench stepped up once again. It's good to get that first win.

Should have led with that.

Only way New Orleans have any chance is if they kept AD and then they built around Zion and AD. Which wont happen.

you really have no idea what the next 6 years will look like. lets consider some of the packages they might get for davis.

ingram kuzma #4 future first
tatum/brown smart/rozier 2 future firsts

so you've got these players

Jrue
Brown
Randle
Zion
Rozier

or

Jrue
Ingram
Randle
Kuzma
Zion
Culver / Reddish / Garland

either of those teams win 30 games next year. plus potential to grow. maybe flip jrue for a good package also

Reading reports now. It’s strange because he did say multiple times he doesn’t mind any team drafting him and not it’s NY or bust.

Knicks were probably going to trade him for AD anyway.

Barrett is a bad idea if you get Kyrie and AD. Probably better to trade down and get one of the wings who can play off the ball and additional assets.
