Nations League 24/25 | November Internationals (Matchday 5-6)

Nah, an inferior team with 10 men don't have to 'collapse' to get beaten. The real question is why you found it so difficult against 11 when Finland waltzed through us the other day.
To concede 3 quick goals with the defence all over the place feels like a bit of a collapse. It can happen. No biggie.

Madueke is so close to being a top player.
His decision making, selfishness and his shooting needs to improve.

He’s played really well for England this week. Being much more selfless and going down both sides, looking for the cutback. Much better than he has for Chelsea I believe since the Wolves game.

He has all the tools.

Yeah, and no obvious way back.

It's been a mad decline and it's sad if it's terminal like you said.

I grew up with Ireland having a squad mostly filled with good PL players and then the odd elite world class talent in amongst them. Crazy to see the state of Irish squads now.

Players I have never heard of frequently pop up in Irish squads.

Frustrating how poor Irish football has become when we are thriving in so many other sporting disciplines at the world stage.

His performances in Spain and from what I’ve seen these past two England games look far better IMO

As someone who has watched pretty much every minute of his games since 2021, he’s the same player. He’s done nothing in Spain he wasn’t doing regularly at Chelsea.

Maybe the two things are connected, we have limited resources. That and football is not as well run at junior level as GAA or Rugby, the two main direct competitors.
