Austria gave away their top spot to Norway. Messed up two chances in front of goal and Slovenia posing no danger score because the goalkeeper makes a poor pass out of defense when they tried playing out from the back.

For those Norwegians who did not see the last 15 minutes of the Austria-game....it was like we got all the luck back for the last 20 years. The Slovenian-striker gets a complete mis-hit and hits the ball with his right foot onto his left foot - and completely sidefoots the goalie. And then 4 minutes into injury-time - Austria counters and an Austrian-player is inches from putting the ball into a more or less open goal....

This was just the 20/21 Nations League coming full circle. We would've been promoted to League A but our clown government made us forfeit the Romania game because of one covid case in the squad. And then we had to face Austria in the group finale with a squad of journeymen. Pissed away the final two games for nothing.
Back then it cost us a guaranteed play off for WC 22 and also a play off for Euro 24 (simply by virtue of being in League A). Previously we had to play the Euro 21 home play off practically BCD because of local restrictions, and then had to play home WC qualifiers in Spain the following spring. Crazy to think of the self-destructing impact of our rigid and inept football loathing politicians.
