I don't think I've ever looked forward to a press con more than this one. I wonder if the bugger will actually smile?

Also wonder how many people will he piss off with egocentric statements.

I've been out for about an hour now, and i expect that everything has been sorted in the meanwhile.
Am i right?

Even know it's the worst kept secret in football I'm really really looking forward to Jose being confirmed

feck it I'm even excited for next season regardless of who we do and more significantly don't sign

Such a relief to see LVG go and Mourinho coming in. It was such a burden to watch United this year, our games were real torture. When I saw LVG is leaving the club on Saturday (although I kind of felt sorry for him :) ) I was happy as a child tbh. :)

Me too, apart from feeling sorry for him. I've felt so negative because of him and posted loads in the lvg out thread, hopefully I'll be able to be a lot more positive with my posts from now on:)

First of all, i'm ridicolously excited for silly season!
So much work to be done, both in and out!
My F5 button will probably be broken before july.

This reminds me when I started working and wasn't sure how much can I get on internet, I thought they supervised the pages I watched, even BBC and such, so I would go to the toilet to check transfer news. Little after that I realized it's stupid and they won't mind me going to 'normal' sites. :D

Uf, don't know how much work will be done tomorrow. :D

Many have wrongly judged Mourinho's football as being defensive, but they're wrong. He plays winning football, he gets the best out of what we has by employing tactics to utilize at best the strengths and weaknesses of his players.

Shit football this

Higuain's pace back then was incredible. I think that was before his spine surgery. I don't think we have enough pace out wide except for Martial to play those kind of counter attacks. :(

I lobve how one dodgy season and he suddenly becomes shit, forget all that he's achieved in the previouis 10 years, no that one dodgy half season makes him shit. Just like that dodgy season Klop had eh?.
Its not like Liverpool fans to forget their history is it lol. Twonks.
They did the same with Sir Alex

This classic gem: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2006/jul/31/sport.comment

People love writing off winners .We are getting a Jose as motivated as when he got snubbed for the Barca job .

And I wouldn't worry about Liverpool fans predictions about us. A random look at past Rawk threads shows how idiotic they tend to be.

That was in my opinion the most I've enjoyed watching football other than maybe a couple of the United sides over the years. You do need to remember however he had a front 4 of a peak Ronaldo, Benzema, Ozil and Di
Maria.

I'm sure even LVG could have won the league with those 4 up front.
Against peak Messi that scored 73 goals that season. 91 that year.

I doubt it mate.
He'd have told them to do the slow/sideways/back passing thing.
We had Di Maria, but LVG did not use his speed to our advantage. Instead he wanted him to do the zombie passing.
In fact, he wanted all our players to play slowly, with low risk, while all the time thinking about defending.

Can't wait for his first presser.

From that celebration at OT with Porto to United bench. :)

Am I the only one that always thought, even under his first sejour in Chelsea, that Mourinho was destined to be the manager of Manchester United one day? Always knew the day would come and I think this is a good time for it to happen. If we get Zlatan as well, imagine the Manchester derby next season with Mourinho and Zlatan vs. Pep too. What a season it will be, with so many top managers.

 sneaky. You might be out of work during the summer.

I kind of thought for a considerable while after his period with Chelsea that he'd end up here; he seemed like the best potential choice for succeeding Fergie, and I expected it to happen if he was available. Alas, looks like it only took a couple of duds inbetween.

I want that swagger back - it's infectious and I hope it rubs off on the players. I don't want sympathy or empathy, I want us to be hated because that means we're winning and putting people's nose out.

Some bloke on my facebook just posted "I've always hated him and don't understand why my club would appoint him"

The simple answer to that is... "why would you want a manager that has managed in your country and that opposition fans like? You think any rivals fans in England liked SAF?"

Idiots the lot of them. :)

So excited for Mou to start here... Always loved him and wanted him in. He has his faults like everyone but I have a feeling he'll do great here.

Mourinho is a 'win at any cost' type of manager, and lets be honest here, thats exactly what Fergie was.

If we do it playing shit football, not a lot (my personal opinion, the majority of Liverpool fans and football fans in general would say otherwise, I guess). Titles aren't overly important to me as a football fan.

Come off it Bob, you lot would give your left arm.

And the "shit football" idea is the biggest myth in football, his first Chelsea team was scintillating as were his Madrid and Porto teams. His Inter team was as exciting as an Italian team can be.

As Pat Vieirra said, the only difference with Jose is that he sometimes understands that his team isn't as good as the side they are facing. If they are better, he lets them loose, if the other team are clearly better then he comes up with a game plan. Klopp is great, but if he had Mourinho's mindset you'd be UEFA Champions and in the CL next year through playing 45 minutes of "shit football". Boo fecking hoo, you were shite for 45 minutes anyway.

It's bizarre that this simple, yet obvious piece of football management has led to his football over the yeas as being labelled as "shit football".

As long as United control their internal politics or at least don't let it get near the team and coaching staff, I reckon he might just flourish.

So strange. The first time I saw him running down the side of the pitch when Porto beat us (SAF was not amused:D) - I wanted to slap the little upstart. I never thought he might be our manager. I have to admit, I'm shit scared about what's gonna happen with him in charge:D

Don't be silly. The only reason his Real Madrid team outscored the free flowing Pep team in his 3 years was due to his awful negative football...

Liverpool won their last European cup playing shit football. I bet Bob was pissed.

Funny how Liverpool fans worship Benitez. When his teams including Madrid play worse stuff than Mourinhos.
