Mourinho to United | Officially Announced

It was his interview after they knocked us out of Europe that had me convinced. SAF reactions that night made me think he had decided to retire and then Jose came out after the game trying to fit his entire tongue up United's arse.

Absolutely!

Just going by the subtitle, our reputation is in tatters at the minute because of the last 3 years and we've been laughed at by our rivals for those 3 years so it won't affect our reputation other than getting back to our reputation of winning!
I can see his crocodiles' tears.

Doubtless if he knew he was coming in long before now, he's been doing his homework. If he's in tomorrow, he can be open and should have plenty of time to prep for August.

Of course it does and I wasn't the first!
This thread is about Mourinho taking over, posting "it's official" and a link might suggest there had been an announcement about him.

There's a thread about lvg leaving, use that.

Now i can say the summer transfer window excitement will be in full flow. I was fearful Van Gaal will allowed to stay on.

Don't want an argument but how is this related more than what I posted?

Told Giggs' offer from #mufc is a 'downgrade'. Was described as having a 'face like thunder' at George's earlier.

Sorry guess I thought people could read the link part saying it's about LVG and should have said its official lvg has been sacked not Mo being appointed forgive me I got a bit excited

I posted that because it suggests Mourinho is open to taking Giggs on as part of his team. Quite relevant I think in regards to Jose's appointment.

I know you were but it nonetheless is still relevant in all the examples given, he isn't a 16 year old and there is an abundance of players to look at who have done just fine playing first team football far younger than Rashford. The point is you'll be hard pressed to find many players who started playing first team football at 19 who will relate a poor end of their career due to starting in their teens.

Perhaps mate i think we just see it different ways. You may be right that at 18 going on 19 Rashford might be old enough to handle a lot more games next season without it having any adverse effects on him when he's older.

It's just i am a big believer in blooding youngsters slowly and not giving them too much football too soon. So i'm always wary of young players being relied on too much and playing nearly every game as a result..

Fair enough. :)

That was a bit too civil for the cafe for my liking...

I wasn't having a go at you buddy, obviously lvg,Giggs and Mourinho are all linked, that's why I posted my link because if lvg hadn't got the sack then this thread would be pointless.

I think rado was annoyed because I forgot to state that my link was about lvg being sacked not mourinho being appointed.

Because it's about the hypothetical future under Jose, ie

This.

Not a big deal, just need to try and keep the two issues separate.

No problem dude :)

Exactly.

From what the press are writing, you'd think Ferguson was the lovechild of Nelson Mandela and Florence Nightingale. They suggest we're this magical club that's about to be sullied, like a virgin entering an orgy.

Fact is, Ferguson was a rogue who regularly abused referees, picked fights with opposing managers and swore on national TV (in fact, judging by his remarks on Saturday, he's still doing it). Ferguson stood by a player who kung-fu kicked a bloke in the crowd and he almost drove Keegan to a nervous breakdown. And everyone loved him for it.

Mourinho is no better or worse than any other elite manager. Wenger is a disgracefully bad loser and Simeone is even worse. And anyone who thinks Guardiola was some kind of innocent party in his feud with Mourinho has been suckered in by the lazy media narrative which portrays Barca as the embodiment of footballing beauty and Madrid as a voracious empire of depravity.

One of the main things that's come out of the Mou-United saga is the appalling state of modern football journalism. Most of the hacks are completely clueless and rely on lazy, stereotypical thinking to mask their lack of contacts and credibility. Let's just ignore them and enjoy the Mourinho ride - the fact people are getting all antsy suggests they're worried about United again. Long may it continue.
Hallelujah

Works for United.
Unlike the last three years where we've been the neutrals favourite. The only thing that changes with this berk in charge is that the press will be up his arse.

"Save". fecking hell
With the things this club has been through and survived, the idea of anybody "saving" Manchester United is an insult.

That was in my opinion the most I've enjoyed watching football other than maybe a couple of the United sides over the years. You do need to remember however he had a front 4 of a peak Ronaldo, Benzema, Ozil and Di Maria.

I'm sure even LVG could have won the league with those 4 up front.

Against Barca?

Really? Also LVG pissed off Di Maria. He would have fell out with Ronaldo.

What does that last tweet say Dobba?

I honestly don't think I could be more excited for the new season as I already am. Nevermind the excitement of our new manager, the league itself has so many potential great teams fighting for the title/top 4 that I think we're in for an almighty fun ride.
I even forgot to look forward to the Euros this summer. Starts in 3 weeks

Such a relief to see LVG go and Mourinho coming in. It was such a burden to watch United this year, our games were real torture. When I saw LVG is leaving the club on Saturday (although I kind of felt sorry for him :) ) I was happy as a child tbh. :)

It's the guy with the ridiciulous delayed reaction with the specs on that gets me.

And obviously, "i don't buhl-eeve it"
