It's a prediction, not a fact. We'll see how it goes but that's what I think will happen.
He's not the manager he was though, that's beyond doubt.
Can't really keep up with the alerts here so not going to bother replying to everyone.
@Attila, 3rd or 4th next year. Same the year after, sacked in the third.
It's really hard to say, after time out last time he went on to win the treble with Inter on one of the worst points in Italian footballs history.
He's 53, still young. He could have easily learnt from last year and had self reflection.
Mourinho has wanted the United job for years, I think he'll do good things, he's tactically one of the best managers in Football.
Pep won more head to heads with Barcelona because he had peak Messi, Xavi, Iniesta.
Mourinho is still one of the best 3 managers in the world, at one of the most profitable clubs in the world with power to buy who he likes. he grew tired at Madrid, Chelsea because he didn't have much of a say in who he wanted to buy, at United he does.
He's at the perfect club for what he wants, a footballing powerhouse where he has control, he's also at a time in his life as he's said himself where he wants to settle down and have a long-run at a club, his family needs stability and he wants to stay in England, Manchester United is probably the club that ticks all his boxes.
It won't be a three-year stint it'll be a good 5 years and he will win trophies, the downside is no champions league the first year.
The big reason he fell out at Chelsea and Madrid was the hierarchy at the club, feeling undermined and that translated to the players. I genuinely think he respects United the history of longevity and he won't get a bigger club with the role he wants in football elsewhere.
