Is he though? I'd be surprised if that's true, given how he's went downhill since leaving Inter.

I think in the last 12 years, Jose is the most successful manager.
In the last 10 years, I think Guardiola has won 1 more trophy than Jose.
Perhaps someone can clear up the stats.

Thinking about the removal men taking loads of packing boxes from Mourinho's London home today, he must have been sure of the appointment long enough to get a new Manchester/Cheshire-situated home sorted out in advance!

Absolutely, as the BBC reported, I think Mourinho knew as early as January for sure that the job was his come the summer. Ample time to get things done and furthermore do them covertly - such as the house hunt.

Sounds about right, more in line with what I expected.

He still won the league in both Spain and England after Inter. Did he win the Copa Del Rey and FA Cup? Not sure about that. Regarding UCL, he was waiting till he took over United to win that:D

The one thing I wonder about is which, if any, Chelsea players he tries to sign, would take Willian and Matic anyway. Courtois ONLY as a replacement for DDG. Not sure about any others.

Id take Hazard, and yes Willian. Don't need Matic we have Schnederlin

It's as if he's been waiting for today and doesn't want to wait a day longer. I imagine his family living amidst a pile of boxes since January, they must have loved it.

Knowing Jose, he's watching an endless loop of himself running down the Old Trafford touchline in that famous Porto win.

Yeah, poor ol' José has had a rough time with his peasant clubs.
what are you on about. He went to take on the greatest club team of all time and beat them.

stop this nonsense. The only manager that can even compare to Jose is Pep, and Pep is about to show us if he even belongs in the conversation.

I have no idea why people bother responding to clowns like Twigginater and Bob Loblaw

"Jose, you're scaring us."

City - £115m
Arsenal - £103m
Liverpool - £60m
Chelsea - £54m

Good, finally you are admitting he deserves some praise for keeping him in the team.
We see managers making bizarre dicisions all the time, players who deserve to play don't always play under a lot of managers, some play a false 9, some start 6 defenders, LvG plays Young or Di Maria as strikers, so even though there were injuries he still chose Rashford. Then he kept playing him. He then took him off at halftime against Tottenham. However 3 days later at West Ham away he still started him while Mata, Young and Memphis and Rooney (albeit the latter came back from injury) started on the bench.

Yes young players still need to perform, but for this they need chances first and not every talented youth player gets enough chances from every manager.

LvG did a lot of mistakes, but he deserves top marks for Rashford.

He would have been a complete moron not to have kept a red hot Rashford in the team. I'm not sure he deserves anything for simply playing a hot hand. But who cares if you want to give him credit, go ahead. If he's the greatest ever and most maligned ever. So what. He's gone. That's all I care about.

Did you even read what I was replying to? That's my point.
why is it that Mourinho has won 3 out of the 4 EPL titles for Chelsea, and Madrid's only La Liga title in the past 9 years?

why are you so bent on diminishing his accomplishments? you of all people should know, being a fan of a zombie club, how hard it is to win a league title, how easy it is to let it slip.
