Maybe I'm just being an idiot. I thought we had to inform the stock exchange first if/when we changed a manager?

I've no idea pal. It just makes me laugh because it's always coming up with this kind of thing, it's become a bit like 'shit in her handbag' or 'leave a breakfast on her doorstep' to me now.

We only have to give them notice if we're announcing something likely to affect the share price, such as a senior position change, such as CEO

Edit: too late!

Can we stop this NYSE stuff. We are under no obligation to announce a change of manager in conjunction with the opening times.

I have just personally informed the NYSE that for lunch I will be having a Gregg's Sausage roll. They told me to feck off.

i think the lawyer is just there to handle to the break up.

i heard the biggest sticking point is a bitter custody battle over memphis. van gaal would like him to be in sole custody of united but united are adamant he should stay with van gaal, they wouldn't even want to see him on weekends.

Yeah, obviously when dealing with a severance it's sensible to have a lawyer present, I should think.

doesn't surprise me. i hear he's been putting it about a bit again. as lvg's number two he'll be out of the door too i think.

he's only there as woodward wanted some to witness him mushroom stamping lvg's p45.

Really??? Our most successful player ever, a true one club player and responsible for some of the most exciting football I've had the pleasure to see. Apart from being unfaithful to his wife and wanting the United job (who wouldn't want it), what exactly has he done to upset you so much?
Pointless trying to reason with some clowns on here. The levels of disrespect for a player, such as Ryan, is nothing short of disgusting. Plastic, keyboard warriors who just don't get United.

Go sit on a spike and calm down. I loved watching Giggs growing up as a kid but that doesn't detract from the fact he is a cnut of a human being.

I'd have imagined any effect would have been priced in long before this anyway, based on the rumours that have been gradually intensifying for months.

He has not proven himself to be the manager for a club like United. How difficult is that to understand? He was the assistant manager here and should be blamed as much as LvG for the pathetic football United played. What's the proof that he will get United back to playing attacking football seen under Fergie? No way in hell is he deserving for the post just becuase he was an United player.

I thought Moyes was the one "cut from the same cloth" as Fergie.

Yeah Tartan the similarities ended there.

One of them is a highly successful and inspirational leader of men. And the other is David Moyes.

I dunno, I mean yes you're right in that if it was going to have an effect it would probably have happened, but I'm not sure it would even have one by itself.

Why does his age matter? If he's good enough he's old enough, a cliché but nonetheless entirely true.

Playing young players too much in their teens can sometimes have consequences later in their career.

Look at Owen and Rooney, shadows of the players they were once they hit their late 20's. I believe both players declines were at least in part caused from playing too much PL football from 16-17.

You can play too much too soon. Just because someone is good enough and can play at the top level doesn't mean they should all the time.
