Mourinho sacked

So many people wanting him just proves that the only thing people care about is results.

I'm not going to lie id love him here even if its just for 3 years.

His dad had brain surgery and then had a few strokes this year. He's been getting better the last couple of months though. That had to have some sort of impact on him.

I didn't know that, I can't see something like not having impact on him. I reckon it's a few things adding up.

Just seems to have lost his drive this year, a break would be great for him, IMO.

I don't like Mourinho but I know that he is a good coach, I heard that he was a great guy in private and SAF likes him. So I want to give him a chance but I don't trust him. If he was apppointed manager I would give him the benefit of the doubt but he will have to change.

In fairness, Giggs knows everything of what it means to represent United. He would have passion unlike anything you've seen since Fergie.

Contrary to popular belief.. the United job isn't that difficult. Unlimited money, poor league, referees generally bottle against you (don't take offence, it's true).. it's just that you haven't had a passionate character. Giggs would be a decent appointment.

Wilf McGuiness knew what it was like to represent United as well. That went well. Giggs should have cut his teeth elsewhere. United's board should know this.

Giggs is a lot of great things, but I'm not sure he instills the sort of passion to be a real leader; he coms across as dull.

I'm not doubting he loves the club, but I would want him to prove himself first somewhere else if he did end up at United some day. He's just an unknown at this point, and our club isn't in the position to take on "unknowns."

Terrible decision by Chelsea. You're talking about a manager going through his first real bad spell of his career never mind at the club.

Wanted Mourinho when Fergie left a part of me wouldn't mind here even now albeit he's been a massive dick this past year which has put me off.

Moyes had more management experience than Giggs.

Maybe he was still brooding about Cech being sold to Arsenal. Jose would never have wanted that. Cech was one of the dressing room leaders and now it is showing.

It's astonishing to get sacked after winning the title, but this is the same cub who sacked Di Matteo after winning the CL with them.

Then again, Chelsea have been dire this season and clearly they need a big change up quick otherwise they can wave goodbye to Europe (even though it's looking unlikely right now anyway).

Huh?

It's a bit of both for me. Trophies won the ugly way mean little to me.
So would you be happy to go another 26 years without a title. I know we have money, we have always had money relative to other clubs. Without the right manager we will not be able to sign the right players. I wouldn't sign for LvG, top players will know what is going on from players going on international duty. I certainly wouldn't sign for Giggs with zilch managerial experience.

No doubt. I'm not saying we should bring Giggs in just because he's proved himself elsewhere and gets some experience under his belt, I'm saying that if the club is so adamant about him being the next manager then I hope they would ship him out first instead of just throwing him in right after LVG.

Then again, I believe our board is smart enough to realize how risky Giggs would be from a purely business standpoint - that amount of risk can/will affect shareholders, something I'm sure the Glazers would not want to disrupt.

Is that so wrong?
No, but those people wanting rid of van Gaal due to his boring football and wanting Mourinho are contradictory, the only thing they truly care for is results.

Fully deserved, he's a top manager but he mentally collapsed this season, when things got tough he failed spectacularly to handle it, he blamed the players, the media, the doctor, the refs and ball boys, and it was obvious that there's no response from the players, so he had to go.

I don't want him anywhere near the club. His philosophy, i'm sorry for using the p word, doesn't suit the club at all.

So the players these days are becoming to influential. It will be interesting to see how they will react in terms of results, now that they have successfully lobbied their manager to the exit. If they continue the erroneous results the players will have to take a deep look in the mirror. No excuses left for them from this point on.

That's so stupid I couldn't but point it out. There is insane pressure and that alone makes in an incredibly difficult job. The same applies to lots of big clubs.

The United job post Fergie was rightly regarded as nigh impossible and we are seeing that ring true.

Just saw the news. What an excellent day. I'm off to Chelsea v. Sunderland on saturday too so I can really have a laugh.

Nah.. it's not a difficult job. It's just been very poorly done by the last two managers.

When? The lowest he's finished since his Porto days is 3rd I believe which is not really a bad spell.
The last year of his first stint with Chelsea. Also said the last season with Real Madrid was the worst of his carrer, that's from his own mouth. Clearly he has had bad spells before.
