Mourinho sacked

Wat?!

Mourinho has done a terrible job this season. 16th place with the great players that he has is abysmal and his sacking is understandable. He created a very negative atmosphere around the club with his actions and words this season. There was far too much unnecessary drama with him this year. The players deserve a lot of criticism too, it must be said. Even if they are being managed poorly, they should still have been capable of putting in good enough performances to have prevented the club from dropping down to 16th position. The players at that club are far, far too good to be in 16th position and the fact that they allowed the club to drop so low down the table speaks volumes about their poor attitude. Overall, terrible efforts from both Mourinho and his players this season and they deserve to be in the situation and position that they are in currently. However, only one man pays the price for this failure and that is Mourinho. The players are lucky that it is far easier to sack one man than to replace several players.

Hope he fecks off out of England and doesn't come back to the Premier League. Toxic presence in English football.

Jose and Ronaldo's United v Pep's City ;-)

Mourinho and Ronaldo don´t get along. They had problems in the end of Mourinho´s Real stint and haven´t spoken (according to media) since then

Genuinely surprised to see him gone, I questioned how much longer they would keep him around at the time of the Leicester game, but I thought they would have done it much sooner if they were going to do it at all this season. They've already gone past the point of no return surely? I can't see any way they'll get top four now, so unless by some miracle lightning strikes twice and they fluke the Champions League what are they playing for?

I think they should have stood by him given he said he wanted to manage them for the long haul.

But what an epic fall for Mourinho. He couldn't take Spain after sometime and when he came back to the premier league he went on and on about how this is the place he loves to manage in. And then he gets sacked with less than a season and a half gone. Ouch.

He had to go. He couldn't turn them around.

Buses are difficult like that.

It was almost telling , that he used to mention in every press conference that he had the club's backing but no one from the club gave a statement about it.. Guess even he knew the sack was coming..

I want Pep to be our next manager.. But if we can't get him then better Mourinho than Giggs.. If we get Pep, I think Mou will end up with city..

They only lost 3 games last time I believe. I recall us winning at Charlton while he lost at 'Boro...that pretty much sealed it but Chelsea were never that bad then
Charlton wasn't in the league last time he was sacked. They had gotten off to a slow start but weren't that bad that season. A home draw in the Champions League sealed his fate.

I do recall us winning 3-1 at Charlton and singing the Xmas song
Mourinho are you listening
Keep the trophy glistening
We'll be back in May to take it away
Walking in a Fergie wonderland

Aside from the fact that it is hilarious, I'm devastated. Genuinely could have seen Chelsea going down under Jose but there's no chance under any other manager.

That was Jose's penultimate season, when we took the title back. Things started to go south for him that season but he didn't leave until September the following season.
