Mourinho | New old Chelsea manager

He's nicer to them than Fergie was, and has won Portuguese, English, Italian and Spanish Leagues plus Champions Leagues with Italian and Portugese teams.

Besides, they need someone to write about. He sells papers.

He's the modern-day Brian Clough. Often controversial and quite happy to be quoted, and quoted often.

Simply because he makes football writers' jobs easier. They know they have more air time / column inches / bandwidth to fill than should really be possible. Mourinho is just fuel for the bullshit machine that is football media coverage.

Seriously, what is up with the media's ridiculous love for mourinho? It's fecking weird is what it is? The cheesy nature of everything surrounding him is strange. It's as if he's the guy whose dominated English football for two decades instead of winning two league titles.
I'm just surprised it's taken football fans like you so long to realise this. It was the same wankfest when he joined Chelsea and all the "Special One" bollocks.

Some of you wanted this man to be United's next manager.

I mean jesus christ have a fecking word with yourselves. Two games in and I'm already bored to death of him. If he ever manages United I honestly think I'd just stop watching football until he fecked off again.

He's incredibly easy to dislike when he's at a rival club. Just talks and talks and talks and it's all an act. Everything he says is an act.

He's a scrote. The pathetic media fawning over him is cringeworthy, glad that Moyes was chosen as the manager ahead of him.

Jose with his usual soundbites for the media.

Sly digs at Villa about lumping the ball (?), but said a draw would've been deserved.

I found him just as incredibly easy to dislike when he was at foreign clubs. It was merely easier to tolerate as the noise was coming from further away.

I don't dislike him but I find the way the media sucks up to him pathetic.

The papers/media are desperate for attention, so an attention-seeker like Mourinho is their dream come true.

You only have to look at the amount of hacks that tried to get into his first press conference this summer to see how desperate they are for him - they all wanted to be there in case Jose claimed something like he invented the question mark.

You could photoshop Jose's face on a painting of Jesus, and the faces of the likes of Neil Ashton and Sam Matterface on the grovelling people bowed at his feet and you'd still not have the full obsession properly reflected.

I'd love to see the media's spin on things when he fails to land the league this season.

The English media are pathetic. No surprise Italian and Spanish media despised him.

Rob Beaseley is the worst.

Some people are far too precious about Jose. He's box-office....so what. Yes he talks a lot of shit but so do most of the managers in the league, some just do it differently.

The media always sucked up to Ferguson. It's just the way it is, managers with extrovert personality traits provide magic for hacks.

Yes, I'm so bored of the Mourinho love in. Its always all about him.

Can't wait till Roman sacks him again.

I think you guys fall into the Jose hype trap just as much as the media! He says everything with a purpose, why do you think him and SAF got on so well? Because they both respected each other as the top managers in the game.

How so? The majority here seem to be saying that they are tired of the media's love for the man - that surely can't be the intention of the hype trap?

Because he gets people everywhere talking about him and only him, even if its negative.

I've always liked him when he had nothing to do with Chelsea, and both spells at Chelsea I've managed to take an instant dislike to him.

Together, what a fecking nightmare. Wonder if 3rd place for Jose allows him to keep his job, especially if they don't win anything?

The people who can't stand him are the first to post links to stories about him. Those posts and the subsequent clicks are just what the Mirror, the Sun and the Mail want.

That's not true at all, if anything, the media never liked Fergie, and this is not me whining- nobody likes us style, because I don't blame them, Fergie never liked them too, and was quite often criticised them.

Just look at what Schmeichel has said about media having a dig at de Gea when he arrived, and he is absolutely spot on, those digs were always aimed at Fergie, and there was always one every week.

When we lost three games in a row last(or season before) season, they loved it, they even asked fecking Mancini when is the last time he lost 3 games in a row just to have a dig at Fergie, and Mancini attacked them because they were unfair to Fergie, he said how dare they to even compare him to Fergie, that's how low they could go on times.

Jose himself said ( which was instantly forgotten by the media) that he would bring the league back to SB in his second year, he knows the squad isn't fully ready yet, the only ones peddling the idea we might win the league are journalists ready to pounce on him when he doesn't.

It's strange that nobody in the media has criticised his move back to Chelsea. Personally I see it as a weak and egotistical move on his part, unless he plans to stay there for a significantly long time (>10 years) which I doubt.

I find this Mourinho more obnoxious than the one that left these shores.

I can't stand his new found pseudo-philosphical demeanour that he's adopted these days. I think he sees this as his opportunity to become the new King after Ferguson's departure and he's trying hard to be everyones mate whilst manipulating the media and referees. It's really transparent that even a few in the media are cottoning on to it rather than lapping up his usual bollocks.

I like him. Articulate, funny, able to wind people up without even trying. He produces winning teams with a tough winning mentality. I dont want him to ever coach us as his style of football bores me and lacks flair but he helps make the EPL a more interesting place. Some love him, some hate him. Nice to have him back in the EPL

I'm not sure it's possible for someone to be more condescending towards another person then Mourinho was to Lambert in his post match interview... but I'm sure if anyone can prove me wrong on that point, it's good old Jose himself.

Rubbish

People need to stop taking everything he says so seriously. He's the ultimate WUM, and most people still seem to fall for it.

Because I'm sure Chelsea fans are exhilarated by Moyes :wenger:

You're a very bitter, obsessed and hysterical individual Noodle.
