Mourinho | New old Chelsea manager

Would love to see him takeover Chelski again. Would be great to see him build a new quality team to compete for the league. It's what we watch it for. It's depressing how the top of the league as a whole, except for City and Spurs, has declined.

What a cnut he is. Please Fergie don't let this guy succeed you.

He and his coaching staff need to get a control over themselves. Their behavior rubs off on the players. It can't help but distract the players to see such antics on the sidelines.

Would really be a downer to see Mou get the reins of a club like United...He's beneath this club, IMO

Absolute disgrace last night from Real. Especially considering the referee got most decisions right towards the end (I just saw the last 30 min or so).

nah i'm a united fan. Good for league of course but with Sir Alex retiring one day, he would obviously be a candidate..

what happened? lol

what happened? lol

Rui Faria, Mourinho's sidekick, got sent off the touchline at the start of the second half

Ten minutes from time, ref gave a disputed freekick on the edge of the Real Madrid box. Villareal scored.

Ramos who was already on a yellow decided to get another yellow by throwing himself at someone. Ozil got sent off for "derisive applause" as did Mourinho.

Pepe had another go at the ref after the match and will probably be treated as if he got a red card.

Ronaldo who had at least carried on playing while the bench and the team imploded, walked off the pitch saying, "we were robbed."

Madrid weren't exactly the sweetest things before Mourinho got there - remember Pepe attacking that guy - but he seems to be better at winding them up, than he is at cooling them down. Sometimes the manager has to be the grown up.

what happened? lol

It all started with Villarreal getting a free kick in a decent position, which Senna scored from, but the keeper should really have saved. The tackle was in my opinion reckless and although the Real player got the ball he caught the Villarreal player with his studs. I’m sure if the tackle had been on Ronaldo, Mourinho would argue it should have been a yellow or red card. Mourinho was fuming and got sent off the bench, rightly.

Couple of minutes later Ramos got a second yellow for another reckless tackle and he caught the Villarreal player in the face, no question it was a yellow card. Then Özil got sent off for mouthing, obviously I’ve no clue what was said...

At the final whistle the Real players behaved like children...

Still the only man with a CV that fits the bill. I wouldn't let the likes of last night put me off him. Despite the odd flaw he is a fantastic manager.

He is fantastic tactician, but he never proved he is good manager.

hang on, ronaldo didnt behave wildly at the final whistle? the world really is round

Why did Real implode like that ? It is like they think six point are not enough.

I've got to admit that I was very surprised by it. It's unlike a Mourinho team not to see a game out, and his side this season only ever seem to score more once they get the first goal.

Yeah, especially that second yellow booking where the player didn't receive the red card. :smirk:

but Senna was nowhere near that was he? Let me look at the footage again

I didn't see the whole clip to be honest, so there is still a possibility that the ref just bottled it there.. But that didn't contribute to Madrid players' frustration at the game in any way, as nobody seem to have noticed at the time..

The ref also seemingly had a bad call awarding a yellow for Pepe for diving, while Pepe did appear to have some blood on his lips, although knowing Pepe he could have easily scratched his lip just to fake injury lol.

the whole situation was laughable and the referee covered a lot of ground in the period he sent of Ozil, Ramos and went over to the dugout. I hope that shit never happens in the premier league.

.....
However it can't be denied that there is question marks over his ability to bring through players, to successfully manage a club without spening more than any other club in the league, much of a risk and we're risking to much as a club to appoint him.
He didn't spend much at Porto yet still won nearly everything in sight for 2 seasons straight....

.His transfer record leaves a lot to be desired IMO. This is a guy who spent massive money on players like Boularouz, Schevchenko, Muntari and Quereesma.
He has also spent massively at Real and it all worked out rather well.

Also Quaresma was the main flop he had at Inter in terms of transfers. the rest where hits that got them their first treble that included a European champions cup.....

Ive always thought, if he really wants to secure his place in history as a top, top manager, to elevate his reputation even beyond what he has now, and to put criticisms like Twig's one above to bed, he should take on not the Manchester United job, but the Liverpool job. .....
I'd say wining the league with a Spurs would be a bigger and even better challenge. A Liverpool in comparison have only lacked the right manager to organise them for the league.

definitely looks like a referee screw up

I would say it's a cameraman screw up. Here you can clearly see the ref waiving Senna off who was rushing towards him to protest, but the camera man missed the whole card thing as he immediately decided to show replays after this snapshot.. Still it's clear here that Senna was involved in the incident.

The only big flaw in your theory is that he showed the card at 19:20 minutes in, and that pic is taken almost a full minute earlier.

Depend on what you meant by "fit the bill". Fitting whose's bill? You have to lower your moral and standard to regard his character fits the bill.

No, the replay for the card was shown at 19:20, not the card itself was shown at 19:20.. The card was given before the corner, and the replay was shown after the corner.

Oh that's right my bad, it could have been a camera feckup but it's not like the ref was giving the impression that he was very competent anyway. And from the replay it really looks like the first yellow is given to Marco Ruben.

Small detail: It's the second time this ref sends Mourinho to the stands as a coach of Real Madrid. This cnut doesn't seem to like us very much.

Supposedly Jose has reached an agreement to become City manager next season according to a radio station in Spain.
