Morgan Schneiderlin | Everton Player

I remember the night on here when he signed as if we were getting Roy Keane in his prime. People were buzzing. Soon realised he was average. Everton are the right club for him.

He will be relegated to a quiz question 10 years from now

He came he went and nobody noticed

First game should be against City.... hope he does very very well on his debut:D

Somewhere on this forum is a thread where the OP insists Schneiderlin is a better passer of the ball than Roy Keane was.

Apologies if this video has already been posted:

Mostly neat and tidy as well as the odd bit of flair and a couple of nice interceptions. However even from this video of his best stuff you can see he took a lot of time on the ball and didn't unsettle defences enough with direct balls between the lines. I'd have liked to have seen him with LVG's shackles removed but obviously Jose didn't see enough in him.

Great, it's like 10 times more than our average selling fees.

Was so excited when we got our new Schmidfield :( They barely lasted a year.

Yeah it's a little bit sad but also pretty funny thinking back to that time, genuinely thinking our midfield was sorted for the next few years with Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin and Carrick. The latter's once again the last man standing and our midfield still doesn't really work without him.

Nice to see we're not transfer chumps anymore. Well done United on holding out for £22m. Never was a United player but good luck to him. Hope he scores a hat-trick on Sunday!

Gutted, especially when you see him in best years for a footballer. Player like him should have really done better and push Fellaini and rusty Basti out of the starting squad without bigger problems after superb performances for Southampton against much stronger teams.

Add me to the list of those that were way too optimistic when he signed, thought he'd be great. Should find his level again at Everton, especially reuniting with Koeman.

We've done really well to get most of what we paid for him. Hope he does well at Everton. Him and Gueye could be a really good double pivot. High energy, which will maybe make it easier for the likes of Barkley and co. ahead of them.

Shame it didn't work out, but we've recouped most of the outlay and off he goes.

Onto the next one..

I knew we can get a decent deal under Jose. We have always so rush when selling players that's why we failed to get a good deal on them, I know wages is also another issue but this deal shows that even as a big club trying to sell a player of £100k per week wages with good fees isn't impossible. I was expecting £24m but £22m will do okay.

Sad he didn't make it here. I think he was good enough for United. I mean Fellaini is apparently! I just think Mourinho doesn't trust midfielders like him. Mourinho likes physical, big and fast players. This is why he was starting Fellaini (who partly fits the bill) early in the season until he realised what Carrrick brings. Carrick wasn't even getting on the bench! Maybe if injury forced his hand to play MS he would've appreciated his qualities.Que the 'but Mourinho saw him in training everyday' posts. Good luck to him at Everton

Sad that he couldn't play well here. If he could have gotten going, he would have been a great midfield option and provided us with depth. He could have been given at least 5 matches this season to play. Hope Jose plays Depay. He needs game time. Best of luck to Schneidi.

Hopefully he can get his career back on track at his new club.
He is at the peak of his career (age-wise) and sitting in the stands or on the bench just wasn't doing him any good.
There was a thread which asked what qualities Morgan brings to us and I believe that the general consensus was that he is handsome and has great hair, but other than that, he offered us very little. I think MUFC was a just too big a step up for him.
Good luck to the guy.

he was responsible for the best weekend in the 3 years following SAF's departure. The weekend we signed him, darmian and basti :(

What's crazy is how underwhelming all 3 signings have been.
I mean what would the odds have been (at the time of purchase) that all 3 would be turkeys?

Really disappointed by how it turned out. Thought he would be great for us.

It's probably because he's a limited midfielder. Not versatile enough, can't pass the ball, not intelligent enough, and as what you said he's not as big/tall as Fellaini to be used to defend set pieces. His positioning isn't that good and he always react slow when sensing the danger. His great tackle's stats makes him looks like a good player, and I think we used him in a wrong position as well. He was never be a good no 6, his best position is no 8 but we have a better no 8 than him and always stay fit. People assume he is a top class no 6 because he can tackle but a footballer needs more than that to be a good no 6.

I hope the fecker scores against City.

Also I like his girlfriend too, both her and Carrick's wife are worth a follow on Instagram. Both have great personalities unlike the other gold diggers.

At this rate, Looks like the club going to sell depay for 25mil and darmien for about 20mil.. Imagine we recouped 80% of pogba money. Not doing the dippers, but what's our net spending a like? Anyone?
