Morgan Schneiderlin | Everton Player

Excellent deal for both parties, hopefully we continue to sell players for a decent fee.

Good deal for everyone.

Think he'll do well there, and him and Gueye will be very solid together.

It's a pity it didn't work out for him here. Even more than he almost completely dropped off the radar under Mourinho. Especially considering the fact that he has had similar kind of players under him at Chelsea.

Shame it didn't work out for him here, I think he'll prove to be a very good signing for Everton. Hopefully his signing also stops Gareth fecking Barry from taking Giggs' Premier League appearance record.

Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Darmian. I feel I've been justified in my negativity that i had for these signings. Blind too. Van Gaal made some crap signings.
Hindsight. Blind has been fine. Schneiderlin to a certain extent. Darmian just hasn't got going at all.

does anyone else remember that F.R.I.E.N.D.S meme that @Code-CX made for schneiderlin when we were apparently "wasting time" not bidding for him in june 2015

I find it incredible that we almost got all the money we paid for him back. He's a good player, but has hardly played for a year and a half so I was expecting the fee to be somewhere around £15m. But it's a good deal for both clubs, and I wish Morgan all the best, except against us of course.

Shame it didn't work out. Thought he would thrive under Mourinho but it wasn't to be.

At least we are recouping most of what we paid. He will do well at Everton I think.

IIRC this will be the 4th highest transfer fee we ever received, other 3 are Beckham, Ronaldo and Di Maria.

It is actually £22M that could rise to £24M with addons (Skysports).

Really thought he would be an excellent signing for us.
So long and thanks for.......um.......well, just thanks.

thats a very good deal for us and not a bad for everton, I am sure he will rediscover form in a lower profile team like Everton, shame he shited his pants here, had high hopes for him

Good price for a player who's form is no where near where it was 2 years ago

Surprised he didn't make it here, in a way.

I thought José was gonna use him in a similar role to Matic at Chelsea, but I guess he's a different type of player or didn't quite have the specific attributes that José was looking for.

Good luck to him, I hope he does well at Everton.

Wish he'd have worked out. Really liked him while he was at Soton. £22m is a good price for a player that's basically been forgotten in our squad.

Well, at least we didn't lose much, if any, money on him. Shame he didn't make more of his time here - I thought he would be decent for us after his form at Southampton.

Can't remember any signing I was as badly wrong about. Was certain he'd slot right in to our first team with no issues. He just never coped with the step up.

Was very happy when we signed him, really thought he was going to add an extra dimension to the midfield. But he seemed far too happy achieving 6/10 every game without really exerting himself, so for that reason I'm happy he is going.

Never thought he was good enough, or any sort of an answer to an ongoing midfield problem, but we have recouped most of the fee, so not bad business...Good luck to him.

Pretty good fee for an out of favor player who couldn't quite make the cut. Mourinho always sold well, something of a rarity for United.

Phil Neville's just said we will have been keen to force the move through so he could play against City for Everton. Sounds like bollocks to me.

£22m is a decent fee for a player whose time is up at the club. No hard feelings towards the player, he looked overawed and never looked comfortable with us.

Sometimes you can play at a level and stand out, big fish in a small pond scenario. He seemed to freeze here and never kicked on. Its happened before, in the Fergie era Veron, Forlan, Kleberson etc. He may be ok stepping down a level where he will probably play virtually every game

I find it incredible that we almost got all the money we paid for him back. He's a good player, but has hardly played for a year and a half so I was expecting the fee to be somewhere around £15m. But it's a good deal for both clubs, and I wish Morgan all the best, except against us of course.

Its definitely feels like that but he did play 29 Pl games last season.
