Hold your ground and teams will pay.

Hope Everton sign him in time for the weekend.

I'd write a goodbye poem but wtf rhymes with Schneiderlin?

This may sound ridiculous, but I think Schneiderlin didn't make it here because he wasn't used to being on a team that dominates possession so he didn't really look to get on the ball, and he plays the position who should have the most or 2nd most touches in the team. And his teammates often bypassed him for technically better options.

I do think he could have done what Fellaini has done this year, but he'll be better at Everton, especially against better teams when he can sit and Gueye can chase but their line can still be quite deep and Lukaku (and to a lesser extent Barkley and Bolasie and the FBs) can play on the break , though they might be surprised at the gap in passing and cleverness between him and thousand year old Gareth Barry.

Could also see an Xmas tree or diamond working for them with Gueye and Davies either side of Schneiderlin freeing up the fullbacks (though Baines is getting on) to maraud.

£22m is a very good price. He'll be quality for Everton unfortunately, but hey at least we almost made all our money back.

In 5-10 years time he'll belong to the "Did he really play for them?" thread

If he can replicate his Southampton form - a very good deal for them. If he carries on playing like he has for us - they've just bought another Cleverley for £22 million.

i was genuinely excited when we got him as thought he'd be our midfield engine / muscle but simply didn't work out. Glad we finally got decent money for a player who doesn't fit our plans though. He seemed like a nice humble fella when I met him once in AE (Alderley Edge) so good luck to him!

Decent deal all round. We're losing hardly anything, recouping what we paid on a player we don't want and if he does what Everton want him to £22m for that sort of player in the current climate isn't a bad price to pay.

I think, for his southhampton form, on the cusp of the french squad regularly and looked to be ready for a step up, the fee was fine, and it was a good attempt at a transfer in hindsight. He just didnt fit in where we needed him to play, and he lacked the qualities needed for our CM. The qualities he did have, he rarely replicated for us, and felt like a Jack of all trades master of none kind of player, but didnt do the "all trades" part well enough to warrant his lack of quality.

Still can't believe it hasn't worked out, should have been a perfect signing for us and a longer term replacement for Carrick. Cant help but feel we've not utilised him properly.

He was a class act at Soton and I think he'll do well for Everton.

Never really got a proper run and could have probably been a no nonsense defensive midfielder but he hasn't shown enough when he did play and understandably, he's got to go if someone is willing to pay decent money for him.

22m pounds. WOW. Perhaps we should start selling a couple of players now that we FINALLY get some money for them. Just compare this money to the kind of money we've been given for players before him. He's a fourth of Ronaldo...

A good fee, considering he is probably on pretty high wages also.

Always thought he would be a very good, solid signing for us, but he clearly doesn't have the meantality the Man United jersey requires.

Wish him luck at Everton, he seems like a decent guy.

Good move for him. Decent fee. Good luck, shame it didn't work out for him here.

I thought some here would have us believe we can not get decent fees for players when i said otherwise.

I'm tempted to name some of them.

Very good fee. Disappointed it didn't work out for him here. He wasn't so bad last season and really did excite a few when signing.

Makes a change that we're not getting taken to the cleaners with the fee. Good deal for everyone involved.

Gutted it didn't work out. Thought he was the perfect signing for us at the time. I think he'll turn out good at Everton, good luck to him.

Schneiderleavin!!!

Thanks everton for the money you penny pinchers. Bring me some Bakayoko now:drool:.
