Oh and to add to this, same lad says the relationship between Soton and United is a good one, easy to do business, if you know what I mean?

No idea what's happened about Clyne though, seems we'd been after him for months and suddenly it's changed to "no interest... anymore".

We're not after Clyne it seems. Either van Gaal is content with Valencia or we have different targets (seems to be Fabinho we're interested in).

So it seems, it's a rather odd one as it seemed to be nailed on.

I wouldn't have though LVG is content with Valencia, more of a forced option but no idea, if it's not Clyne then I am going to say Coleman.

Coleman would be too expensive IMO. I think we'll go for Fabinho and it will be a good buy.

Don't know anything about him to be honest, with regards to Coleman I had heard a few months back that we were after him but saying that Clyne was also in the frame.

Who knows!

Hasnt Wilshere proved himself capable as a deep lying cover option at least this year....
he isn't deep laying whoever, he rather featured as b2b infront of one of the defensive mids like Flamini/Coq.. The same is Caz but different anyway I mentioned it earlier in this thread. Having Wilshere and Ox in the team will probably stop wenger spending on another midfielder as the two couldn't get into side so he will most likely give them a chance to prove playing somewhere there but if all of their defensive mids get injured it's slightly worrying for wenger, well all of them, one is average Flamini and one is injury prone and ageing Arteta the third one only recently became the no1 option and has a lot to prove next year.

There is not zero chance not zero chance they will sign him..

This is one of most sensible transfers we can make. Come on Woody, make it happen!

I think he's agreed to move somewhere, and it's all just getting the other details involved sorted.

I hope it's to us, whilst I don't think he's the player half of the caf seem to, he'd be a huge improvement on Fellaini as one of the #8s

Would certainly be a good signing, the exact type of competition we need in CM, and gives us the option to play himself and Carrick in a game where we need to be on the defensive a shade more.

I don't think he's guaranteed to be amazing for us by any stretch, but I do think he gives us what we need in CM, cover and competition. Need to have 6 midfield players competing to play each week

Ramos at RB just for shits and giggles

I have this feeling that this will be the next signing we'll announce. And I have absolutely nothing to base that feeling on.

I have almost the same feeling, just that I think he's Arsenal's :( Just think this transfer to them has been bubbling for a good year now.

I really don't know to be honest. I'd heard about Schneiderlein long before Schweinsteiger hit the news.

Going back a good couple of weeks now to be honest, and I haven't heard anything negative since.

The same person I heard this off was also close to the Shaw deal - he was consistently saying he was definitely coming to United even when the papers were saying he was 100% off to Chelsea etc.

Same person also told me about Matt Radcliffe going before the papers had it too. No reason to not believe the chap in all honesty.

Don't do this to me.

Sorry to jump in but who's that guy you heard that stuff from?

You from Southampton?

I'm confident we'll get this done, not sure why. Maybe the noise last heard noise in the media was him joining us, then all at once it goes quiet. We know he wants to leave, and Southampton seems resigned to it. So it'd be just a matter of where. The unusual silence seems to suggest deal is done though. I think it's with us. A bit like how it happened with Shaw. Fingers crossed.

A lot of people believe we have got Schneiderlin sorted if this is the case then I would expect it signed and announced by July 1st pre season. It would make no sense to sign him later or am I once again being too sensible or naive!?

If we actually have him signed, then it'll be announced before the players return for Pre Season training. Would be stupid and pointless not too.

Well, Memphis has been officially announced already so there is nothing to suggest that we have signed Schneiderlin already, otherwise surely we'd just announce him

Agreed, what possible reason could there be to do the deal and not announce it? In fact don't we have to tell the stock market in NY or sommat?
Woody will present not just Schneiderlin but like 3 or more top players at once! Boom!

Or we're just unable to close deals :nervous:
