With all the hopes and talks for pogba, veretti and gundogan, schneiderlin could well be the "carrick" type of signing that we actually need.

Carrick has been a brilliant player for us, but our midfield was never the strong point of our team when Ferguson created his last super dominant team. When we won 3 league titles in a row between 2009-2009 the strongest components of our team was our defence and attack. Not Carricks fault as Fergie didn't even sign him a partner but after Hargreaves got injured our midfield used to get ran over so much.

Yup agreed and our midfield would have been much worse without carrick in it. Incredible really to think fergei stopped signing any CM after ando and hargo in 2007.
I think we would unveil a couple of signings post the qualifiers and he would be one of them.

If we do sign him, I'll feel much safer about our midfield.

Gives us that 6/8 player we lack in the squad.
He might not tactically suit us perfectly or be the perfect Carrick replacement, but he would bring quality exactly where we'll need it, if not next year then soon when Carrick can't play anymore.

Yeah, getting a player like him will be absolutely crucial if we want Di Maria in midfield, which I'm really desperate for us to go back to, now that we have Memphis to play on the left wing.
Get schneiderlin and gundogan, with carrick and herrera i expect our midfield to have no problem dominating most of the opponents.
I can definitely see this happening. He's exactly what we need and assuming we want him I cant see anything that would stop us from getting him. Should be a pretty straight forward signing.

Schneiderlin, Gundogan and Herrera, all 3 are complete midfielders and pressing machines. Should be a great midfield if we could get these 2 feckers.
Gundogan has some way to go before he becomes a pressing machine.
