Mo Salah

Been pretty shite lately. Maybe he needs a rest.

Very selfish yesterday, which was fine last season when he pulled everything off, but not so much this season when things aren't going quite as well.

We need more options up front. City have it great in this regard. Aguero not doing great? Throw on Jesus. Sterling not playing well? Sane will do... Oh, Mahrez is always an option, I guess.

 Fair point.

Seems like he's more interested in the golden boot than trying to win the league.

He plays that way, at least. Had that chance yesterday when all he needed to do was play the simplest pass to Mane, but decided to go for glory himself. It worked out through sheer dumb luck, but really, that's the easiest assist you'll ever see.

Thought he was one of our best players yesterday, lots of good things went through him. He's indeed a bit more selfish than he used to be, but he's still overall he still majorly impacts games even if it doesn't reflect on the scoresheet. Assisted Firmino's first yesterday and Firmino's second was also thanks to a Salah run.

Looks like he's lacking confidence and trying too much. Very greedy at the weekend I noticed.
He is a terrible teammate. Will do anything but pass to Mane who has been the star so far. Everyone focuses so much on salah but he wouldn't be where he is without mane. I'm really interested in who scouse fans prefer between the two?

Much like Harry Kane when he tried to claim that goal, he showed a weakness by making it clear that having the piss taken out of him was really bothering him. So now people are going to do it until the end of time.

I find him extremely dislikable despite all of his faux humility.

Yep, he's the only player in this Liverpool side that I think actually comes across as a real twat. The rest of them are just twats because they play for Liverpool.

Sounds like he could be the creator of some of the 'What would you rather' threads on here.

What does it even mean? That he wants to crash out of CL in order to win PL? :wenger: Weird thing to say, considering he then goes on to say they want both, and also that they're already out of the FA Cup.

Unless its just to point out what a great and humble human being he is? Ahh, now it all makes sense.

I find that very annoying, too.

He pretends to be a humble Mata to mask his inner Neymar. He goes down too easily, is a very selfish player, is quite an egoist and kinda gives up when things aren't going their way. One of those players who looks brilliant when the team is doing well, but goes missing when the chips are down.

Aye, last year there was this gushing about what a great humble guy he is. Never, ever seen that side of him.

Getting way too greedy now for my liking, it's frustrating to watch. That counter when Mane waited for him from to switch over and he missed his chance to make it 3-1, he wouldn't have done that for Mane. He acts dead weak now too, little nudge on the shoulder and he gives up, doesn't show the strength or tenacity he had last season. Klopp needs to get firm and remind him we're a team.

Performances have been average since that CL final apart from a purple patch earlier this season. However his all round play is still good. If Liverpool win the league without a fully firing Salah it's quite impressive.

Personally I dont think individually Salah,Mane or Firmino have been particularly amazing this season but they have been steadily consistent as a trio.
Liverpool toning down on their gung-ho style of recent seasons under Klopp obviously plays a part in that.

His issue is he has very little if any confidence in his right foot. All the balls he's supposed to play with that foot he ends up not doing so.

True, it's like they are taking turns to hold the attack together.

I think Firmino is spending to much time in midfield positions. Much more than last season. Maybe if they can play Ox it will change.

Ox was the one who linked everything when we went on that run latter half of last season. This season we haven’t had a midfielder capable of doing that for whatever reason be it injuries or not settling in yet.
Then there’s obviously the change in style, there’s a lot less for the attackers to feed on which brings their output down but the likelihood is that mane and Salah will both get 20 + this season where we’ve challenged for the title and could or will go deep in the CL. That’s fine as a trade off, he’s not a bad player cause he’s not going to hit 35-40 every season. He’s still a top class forward part of a good side.

He’s not always playing badly but his goal threat seems to be significantly reduced.

He tries to do everything himself at the moment which can be frustrating.

Ronaldo was like this in 08/09 before he joined Madrid.
I think he found himself frustrating and we found him frustrating too.

He's an overrated player that went on an amazing run last year. If you follow his career at Fiorentina/Roma you'd see he was massively outperforming his xG. Now he's reverting to the mean?

Am I doing this right, xG crowd?

Wing Poacher. Doesn't really do much else beyond goals, though watch him set up the winner now.

It was an own goal. Lloris should catch that ball easily. Also Salah really needs to start passing the ball to Mane when it will obviously lead to a goal instead of trying to score a worldie.
