I disagree. The performances we had under Ole at this time in his tenure were like night and day. We actually carried a lot of threat and teams played into our hands.
Where the similarity in performances were, were when Ole was the caretaker, like Spurs or the PSG games, where we definitely rode our luck. But in mitigation, Ole had no transfers of his own to work with at the time and made do with an ill prepared squad. And for every Spurs or PSG game during this period, I can throw in an Arsenal 3-1 or Chelsea 2-0 in the cup where we were legitimately good.
Can we say the same about Arteta? How many legitimately good performances can we say his team have brought us? Chelsea in the cup final? Chelsea in the league this year? It's pretty slim pickings considering he's been there almost 18 months and has had the benefits of two transfer windows. By this time, for comparisons sake, Ole had beaten Pep's city home and away in the league, beat Chelsea 4-0 at home and beat them at SB 2-0, as well as beating them in the league cup. Almost all of which were legitimately good performances, especially the two City games.
Agree with the rest of your post though.
