Michael Oliver

Harsh but fair for Di Maria's red.

Annoyed at the inconsistency but can't blame him for today's loss.

Bullshit, he was past him and got legged up, it was as clear a yellow as you get.

Plus as has been pointed out already he didn't book Welbeck for what he ruled as a dive but does Januzaj.

Alright, fine, whatever. I don't care anymore. Posters on here need to find someone to blame when we lose, and when we've been given a red card it's so very easy to blame the ref, even if he's having a good game. They can wail and gnash their teeth and scream about the injustice, about crooked or incompetent refs, and basically look like spoiled children when they're not getting their way. There's no point trying to argue the other side because I'd just look like a man wearing a scuba mask trying to survive an avalanche of shit.

Why is everyone blaming him? DI MARIA PUSHED HIM. What's he supposed to do?

He wasn't the only reason.

1. LVG's subs
2. Valencia
3. Oliver.

Yup, he made a mistake there. Should have sent Hart off, I think we all agreed that at the time. Not sure what your point is? That he made a mistake in the past and so should repeat it just to appease the United fans?

It's the inconsistency for me, the foul he called for Sanchez 2 mins earlier was more of a dive than Di Maria's.

I don't blame him for us losing, I blame the manager for that, along with Valencia and his stupid back pass.

I also haven't claimed anything so stupid as him being crooked or bent. Nor do I believe I'm spoilt.

I do, however, reserve the right to comment on glaringly shit refereeing performances, and I do this when we win as well, not that that will fit with your nice little strawman narrative.

He got it spot on. Great refereeing.

He gave Sanchez freekick for less contact than Di Maria like Minutes ago.

Decided to book Di Maria the clown.

And not to mention chickening out of sending off Bellerin among so many things.

SAF or Mourinho would have started a riot vs him by then and he probably would have even given Januzaj dive as penalty under pressure.

Bellerin should have been sent off but otherwise he got it spot on.

He should show consistent. If he don't even give a card to Joe Hart, he should not give ADM a card. It's much feelings and maybe try and calm the situation down instead of giving him the red.

Okay by the 'letter of the law' why is Ramsey not off? Hauled Young down then kicked the ball off. It's pathetic.

Every 50/50 going Arsenal's way, Bellerin should've been off, not bothered about ADM being sent off because it was deserved.

Yea he's a shit anyway, feck him.

As much as I was calling him a cnut during the game, he got the big calls right.

Decides not to book bellendin for a 2nd yellow and then proceeded to give every 1 of our players an automatic yellow. Tried to look the big man tonight, I call this his "clattenberg moment"

Doesn't matter if it was a dive if he was fouled first. If he was fouled first, the dive simply means he wants the free kick. His momentum was gone because Ramsey slowed him down by grabbing his arm. Ref failed to see that.

He dove. You're usually pretty objective. I'll check back in with you tomorrow.

Why are people surprised anymore? The standard of refereeing is a complete joke at every level in this country and as long as they're not held accountable to anybody it'll continue.

You're talking about the Hart incident which happened a while ago like he's supposed to have that on his mind. One feck up doesn't he has to feck up again on the same situation. Being consistent doesn't mean you have to be stupid in doing so.

He had a shocker. The red would never be a red, that wasnt a dive and a yellow for Di Maria. 5 mins before Alexis made the greatest dive of the game, got a fk.

Might as well wore a fecking arsenal shirt, did all he could to make sure they won,
That was a 2nd yellow for bellerin all day long for the foul on young were he went back to give Rojo a yellow,
Should have waved play on for the Di Maria one (as their was contact) but no gave him a yellow card and a 2nd one for touching his shirt rightly or wrongly

Di Maria was yanked at full speed. Not a yellow.

A better ref would have looked past the tug on his shirt and calmed things down sensibly without ruining the match. Referees are able to exercise judgment not just follow the letter.
