Michael Oliver

I think him and Murphy might be having sexy times together as I have never seen a commentator so far up a ref caboose.

He had a shocker. The red would never be a red, that wasnt a dive and a yellow for Di Maria. 5 mins before Alexis made the greatest dive of the game, got a fk.

It was a nailed on red. Di Maria dived after the slightest contact and then put his hands on the ref. It would have been stupid not to send him off.

We might be able to point to other decisions that didn't go our way but the Di Maria yellows really aren't amongst them....

Why is it not possible to point out a refs errors without being accused of blaming him for a result?

Exactly the refereeing was bad, no consistency and often he was far from the action. It didn't change the outcome of the game but he is not a good referee.

One of the biggest jokes of a refereeing performance. Topped Cuttenberg's performance against us in the Leicester game. How was Bellerin not a red card only he will know, while stroking the wads of cash he has stuffed up his ass.

Di Maria was stupid, so too was Januzaj, but Bellerin should have been sent off too, bottled that one.

I said this a few weeks back that every single game that I see these days we don't get any 50-50's at all.

The referee was decent, we really didn't give him any other options with our behaviour. He could have booked a few more of our players as well with the constant surrounding and needless remonstrating. Our behaviour towards Oliver was reminiscent of the United of old, only without the actual menace, talent, nor the faintest of chances or hope of influencing him

No mate. That wasnt a dive. Ramsey hold his hand. It wasnt a FK, but a dive was Januazjs. Alexis dives a few mins earlier, he awared him with a FK.

He had a very good game. Our dives were pathetic and nowhere near convincing enough. Need to practice them more.

He got almost everything right. Some awful posts kicking around. I'd sooner blame the fecking idiots that do warrant blame.

To be fair to Oliver, he probably got a whiff of Hart's Head and Shoulders shamppoo, then completely forgot to book him due to being in such a trance.

Other than the Bellerin call he was excellent.

Yup. Daft to be putting any sort of blame on him. Did very well in what was surely difficult circumstances.

Bellerin could have gone off, ADM could have stayed on, they were just 50/50-ish decisions that went against us. not criminally bad calls.

HO=w the hell can it be a dive if the fecking Arsenal player grabbed Di Maria's wrist?

The slow motion makes it significantly worse than what it was. The slight pull back looks to have made him lose his balance. Given the way Oliver had refereed the game, specifically the consistent free kicks awarded to Arsenal, that shouldn't have been adjudged a dive.

If you get a slight pull and then proceed to drop like you've been shot then the ref is always likely to see it as a dive and that's fair enough. I have no real sympathy for any player who exaggerates a foul to that extent. It's just unfortunate it was one of our guys today.

If he got pulled in the arm and went down in the box he wouldn't be accused of diving. Can't see how it's a dive if there's contact. It's just not a foul, it's called middle ground

No one can claim his performance wasnt biased tonight. It was so obvious its funny.

What's the law about touching referees? I've only seen one replay, but it didn't look like a push. He was trying to get the referee's attention. Gif?

I don't even think he got the Bellerin one wrong either, we were desperate to get him sent off. It wasn't that bad of a foul, probably not a yellow for me. Seemed worse cause Young went mental in his face trying to get the second yellow.

If someone touches your hand you don't fall over. Not without making yourself fall over

Then why no yellow for Welbeck diving in the box but a yellow for both Di Maria and Januzaj?

The diving yellows are often 50:50. On another night Welbeck would have been booked and Januzaj wouldn't have. Personally, I blame not hitting the target.

Arsenals fullback should have been off but instead he bottled it allowing Arsenal to make a sub. Murphy applauded him for that. I think it's detestable. Do your fecking job. A foul is a foul. It's not right.
