Ronaldo just 12 goals off Real Madrids all time top scorer record now it still feels like 5 minutes ago since he left.

I've seen some top players over the years from Zidane to Brazilian Ronaldo but these 2 are miles ahead of anybody the goal records and all round play is absurd it probably won't be seen again.

come on man. When people talk about tap ins and penalties it's a very valid point. You take the quality of goals and then the creative difference into account and the Cristiano camp really don't have a leg to stand on.
 
I think they should give Ronaldo guard of honour in the next game, not Barcelona. After all, Ronaldo won the most important trophy.

Ronaldo's hat-trick today was so important for Real Madrid and La Liga. Oh wait no it wasn't just like most of his goals are meaningless.

I think we might see the goalscoring numbers in the future. Maybe not 50 goals all the time but neymar has gotten 40 this season I think or thereabouts, and he's 23. So he's more than capable of hitting big numbers. Obviously Messi seems to create most of them but still.

People probably said the same about Eusébio and Pélé. Then Beckenbauer and Cruyff came along and reminded everyone it's not all about goals, and Maradona took it one step further. Hopefully we'll see the same soon. People are far too obsessed about goals these days.

I actually think Eusébio v Ronaldo is a far better comparison myself. It's one Ronaldo can win at least. Comparable physiques, technique, style of play and goal records. It essentially all comes down to which you value more: Eusébios greater all-round contribution and big-game performances or Ronaldo's consistent scoring in a stronger domestic league.

Here's something I read on an Arsenal forum. Very interesting.

Ronaldo has done it in different leagues. He has challenged himself, got out of his comfort zone and proved himself at a new club and became the best in the world at both clubs. Unfortunately for him he played for man Utd, a rival of ours and thus will never be liked. It's the same reason people will deny RVN pissed on Henry during la liga careers. Had Ronaldo played for a serie A club before Real and did what he did for man Utd for say an inter or a juve and then went to real and done what he's done, all of us, every single poster on here would say he's comfortably the best.

Fortunately I'm a bit more older and wiser than most.

I don't like Messi. He's everything that's wrong with the game. The greed, the cheating, the diving, the drugs, big headedness and so on but I have praised him as the 2nd best player in the world which is an amazing achievement. I'd love to be 2nd best in my profession. As would most people. Messi doesn't have to be shamed. He's had an extraordinary career so far and I feel sorry for him cos if Ronaldo didn't exist, Messi would be the best but alas Ronaldo does.

People should be banned from using the word troll in this thread whenever somebody says something they don't like about Messi. Just fecking deal with the fact that people have different opinions.

Messi is, IMO, a dirty little cheat with no integrity. The poster quoted by CLARiiON is spot on.

Everyone can have opinions but in the case of this poster it would be a wrong opinion. I could be of the opinion that John Carver is the best coach in the premier league but I'd be wrong. Just like that Arsenal fan. Of course in all likelyhood he was being facetious but you never know...

At least Ronaldo makes no effort to disguise his egotism, selfishness, and vanity. He knows what he is and there is no hiding it. A buttered-up goalwhore with deep insecurities.

Meanwhile, Messi is getting poser tats, forcing people out of the club over petty squabbles, and cheating the government out of money. No wonder Sepp loves him :)

The drugs thing is a pathetic bit of slander.

As for being fake, what is that based on? Everyone knows he's no angel, but the notion he's secretly some little dictator inside the club is hilarious.

Unsubstantiated shite by people who don't like that he keeps booting Ronaldo into second place and getting all the success that he gets, and I mean genuine success like league titles, not goal scoring trinkets off the back of hat tricks against cannon fodder.
 
Well it would explain why no one knows about his kids mother. I assume he had her killed, that's the story I'll be spreading anyway
