I know you watch a lot more Juventus than I do, but it seems a lot of the times I see their matches on Bein Sports Dybala is benched or subbed off early. As you said, it could be tactical but I also recall them having a blow up a few months ago although I imagine it's behind them now:

https://www.calciomercato.com/en/ne...-with-dybala-juve-striker-apoligises-wi-73754

Dybala’s been good. He just doesn’t always fit in, depends on the game.

Him and Allegri get along fine, no chance they’ll sell Dybala.

If you want to reply to me then at least quote my responses properly. And are you serious?

The lengths Messi fans will go to pretend that every one on earth that isn't a so called "deluded Ronaldo fanboy" bows down to Messi:lol:

Kevin Prince Boateng DOES (or did) think Ronaldo is better than Messi. He has tweeted it countless times from the very same account. There's no two ways about it so no need to try and break it down and twist some meaning behind it about him thinking "ronaldo is more of an example because he is more relatable through his hardwork while Messi is an alien" or whatever.

Boateng has worshiped Ronaldo with his own mouth on his insta stories...Usually after a big game when Ronaldo scores a hat-trick. After the Spain, Hat-trick he was all over his Instagram story calling Ronaldo "the best player ever." I seldom ever saw him post the same thing about Messi if he really did think he transcended "us mere humans".

Barcelona without Messi 2-2 against Villarreal . I don't see them winning the CL.

He explicitly says Messi is better than Ronaldo, but nice try

Have any other examples because you've managed to find one so far!

He came in and they concede 1 minute later. Clearly they're better off without him by your wonderful logic, right?

It's so stupid...

Literally every couple of weeks you bring up one game as proof of this bullshit logic and then completely ignore it when the exact same logic leads to a different conclusion.

And now compare the number of players/pundits who consider Messi the goat vs Ronaldo. It leans HEAVILY towards Messi. Ronaldo has been great in CL in recent years but compare how their peers talk about path and Messi is often the one pundits/managers/coaches speak more on awe of.

This is a United forum, far more Ronaldo fans for obvious reasons. This poll had Messi dominating and then swung recently. If Messi wins the ballon d’or it would swing back in his favour but the mods closed the polls so they could keep it at 50-50
Funny that in the Fifa World footballer of the Year or Best Fifa Mens Player (voted for by players) & te Ballon D'or (voted for by pundits), Ronaldo has come out on top more often than Messi.

Even if Messi wins the Ballon D'or, he'd still 6-10 behind in head-to-head against Ronaldo.

No, Messi has destroyed Ronaldo head to head in terms of matches played W-D-L

If you asked those same pundits and players who is the best of all time instead of who had the best season Messi would absolutely run away with it.

I don’t argue euro can be harder
To win (although euro qualifying is easier) but Portugal has an extremely easybroute. Poland was not very good. Croatia was much better after 2016. Wales were
Missing lots of key players.

And Ronaldo’s biggest moment was being on the sidelines while Eder brought it home
Are you taking the piss?

Argentina doesn't even need to qualify for the Copa America

Didn't you know?

And how is it 6-10?! Messi has won plenty of fifa men’s player of the year before and best fifa men’s player they haven’t had it since 2009:

Boateng has said it in the past, he was negotiating with Barcelona at the time of that one... Drogba said the same, Gullit said it, Roberto Carlos said it, Romario said it, Rashford said it, plenty of other players said it, most of them you'll accuse of bias since loads of footballers have a connection to either clubs Ronaldo played with or their rivals.

Messi himself said Ronaldo's at the same level so if you believe Messi's the best and that the better you are at football the more their opinion matters... then what do you believe in? It's such an incredibly stupid point to make it's insane how often it comes up.

Pele and Maradona are the two best footballers ever of past generations and you still have people believing that the better you are at the sport, the more your footballing opinions should matter.

Messi has more goals against the top 6 in England than anyone else. Put him on a City or Liverpool or whoever, and he'd be having a field day.
What is it with you Messi brigade and you war against facts?

It's been posted plenty of times in this thread that is simply not true. :wenger:

If UEFA didn't change the rules Portugal would've been out in the group stages. Would that have made Ronaldo worse at football?

You were saying...

Are you thick?

By your own logic that's stupid beyond belief you believe Barcelona are the same with or without Messi given they drew 2-2 with Villarreal without him and then drew 2-2 with him on the pitch. Do you think that? Or do you admit just how incredibly stupid your own logic is? Which one is it?

It's painful just how dumb this is.

Barca have looked fantastic for weeks. One game with nothing to play for doesn’t change that.
Now it's a game with nothing to play for?

Weren't you lot creaming over the game against Betis last week?

Why do the opinions of other footballers somehow hold more weight? Being able to kick a ball around doesnt automatically give you more insight. Im quite convinced I can give a better tactical analyses of a football match than Memphis Depay, seeing as he can hardly string 3 words together outside of a rapsong. I bet I'd struggle marking him in 5 a side though.

I said the goal was nice but never acted like it won us he league. League has been wrapped up for a while.

Did you see Messi near the end? If he doesn’t come on, Barca lose.

He’s so far ahead for ballon d’or (6-5 over Ronaldo if that happens) right now it’s crazy

Still lots of time left in the year though

So those pundits and players have voted Ronaldo the better player in 10 out of the last 15 years. Perfect logic

It's not 6-10, it's currently 5-10!
Ballon D'or:
Ronaldo more votes than Messi: 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18 (10)
Messi more votes than Ronaldo: 09, 10, 11, 12, 15 (5)

If Uefa hadn't changed the rules, Portugal may not have played for a draw.

Because you wouldn’t have any idea what to do on the pitch as well as Depay would. He’s playing football at the highest level while you’re an armchair manager. We all are.

Hahahaha so now more votes = wins

If Messi gets ballon d’or this year it’ll be 6-5 Messi

What’s the frustration Peyroteo? In fairness without Messi they lose this game, no?

They were drawing 2-2 before he came on, they drew 2-2 after he came on. How you arrived at your conclusion I've no idea.

3 months and 2 days have gone in 2019, much of Ballon D'or will depend on the CL or Copa America.

Painful is for you to admit your boy is a great goalscorer.

More votes means those players/pundits thought that Ronaldo was the better player during that calendar year. Simple

Not sure how relevant are 04 and 05. 04 Messi didn't play a single game, 05 he played 7 games and Cristiano received the grand total of 3 votes..

Furthermore in 06 Cristiano had won 5 votes, Messi 2.

You can safely disregard those numbers as they make little sense comparing the two.

Speculation innit. You weirdos keep presenting pages of facts whilst forgetting that football isnt science and this "factual" debate sprinkled with :lol:s is an excersize in futility. The reason you cant find common ground is because there's no hard evidence and both sides are so painfully stuck in their preference they will use anything to drive their point home (like bragging about Ronaldo having more votes than Messi when Messi was like 12 years old). Honestly, this thread should be mentioned on the wikipedia page about fallacies or how not to do a debate.

@Daysleeper Memphis has terrible decision making so I doubt that. Im simply not good enough to do the thing I know is right, doesnt mean I cannot see it. LVG was a shite footballer, teammates said that he always knew which pass to make, but his legs simply fecked it up Mourinho wasnt even a pro, yet they did allright. Take Maradona on the other hand. Greatest ever, but he makes Steve McClaren look like the football equivalent of Sun Tzu.

A good footballer can be an amazing tactician, but not because he can beat his man with an elastico.

I normally quote this stat from 2007, but the Messi fans were lecturing me about not manipulating stats so I'm just going to include everything.

If Messi receives a single vote one year after Ronaldo has retired, they can do the same.

Love how Cal? has found a new bone to chew on with the Ballon d'Or votes, he caught wind of it a couple weeks ago and went from "I won't count votes before 08" to "he wins 10-5 in Ballon d'Or votations!"

It is and I agree with you over this being a pointless endeavor, just pissed off with that game earlier and it's a good place to vent.

It's you Messi fans who insists we have to start counting goals stats from Ronaldo's time as a winger, so I'm merely applying the same logic.

More votes means those players/pundits thought that Ronaldo was the better player during that calendar year. Simple

So we are including 2004 and 2005 when Messi hardly played :lol:
