Ronaldo could grab a goal from a set piece in a tight tie and net effect will be same.

Indeed. I don't think I've ever entered the debate on this site for similar reasons. Ronaldo is phenomenal and I admire him greatly. He's also had spells of better form, hence his individual awards.
But the answer as to who is better is obvious and always has been. Messi is one of the greatest things ever seen in the history of sport and will be remembered as such hundreds of years from now.
Yep. Which isn't to say there haven't been periods of time when Ronaldo was playing better than Messi (he's close enough to be the better player if/when Messi is struggling) but all things being equal Messi has been and still is the better footballer.

I don't know the answer to this but I'd bet a hefty wedge of cash that Messi has scored more goals from outside the box than Ronaldo, which would refute your claims.
Aerially, Ronaldo is superior, but that doesn't exactly equate to being a better goalscorer. They're at the same level on goalscoring terms; a credit to their genius.

Not many (Ronaldo included) could put on the dribbling displays that Messi does, the passing displays, to put Boateng on his arse then lob it over Neuer? Net effect might be the same but so what? Ronaldo may well destroy Juventus next week but he'll need help from his team mates to do it. Messi changed the game by himself tonight. That's something Ronaldo isn't really capable of anymore.

Because it's the frequency of output and consistently over so many seasons level above anyone else that makes them 2 so great. Anyone can get the odd magical goal (Hell, Charlie adam hit a great long ranger and Bolasie has scored dribbling past people) but it's the frequency with which these 2 do that is phenomenal.
