Get 20 million for him if we can and just a sign a decent player to take the pressure of Mainoo and Casemiro , Even if we can get 15 million for him would be a steal.
I'm not watching another season of him pretending to be a top 10 premier league player. He is shocking.
Just has to go.

He can't pass forward, has to pass immediately with ball at his feat as has no composure and always sideways and backwards. Hess like a League 3 player version of Roy Keane or even Michael Carrick who I rate highly.
Keane would give out to team mates passing sideways and Carrick just naturally gifted at spraying the ball forward.
Just get rid of scott FFS

His benchmarks across midfielders in top 5 leagues:
94th clearance
.
I will never understand why clearances is a stat that should be good for a midfielder to rank high in. Surely a good midfielder will dribble or pass the ball instead of hoofing it upfield for a clearance?

Trust the smart people we have hired, that's why none of you are DOFs negotiating deals. Anyone who thinks he isn't worth £40M is delusional. His benchmarks across midfielders in top 5 leagues:

99th percentile in scoring
90th touches (penalty box)
50th assists
86th aerial's
79th blocks
94th clearance

He scores more than most midfielders, passes average, dominates headers, positions himself well, and high amount of defensive actions.

His closest premier league comp? Well Sean Longstaff is a poor man's Mctominay. How much were we quoted? I believe £50M. Based on that £40M is steal.

Great. Now do pass completion, touches, carries, interceptions, ball recoveries, key passes, shot creating actions...

Has to go this season. If Fred, Sanitizer and Amrabat all had to, McT should, too.
He came in and I didn't know what he was on for, constantly giving the ball away, he was also playing like he was sent to run into our own players, crowding the spaces with senseless positional awareness...

He's useless, need to go.

Sancho, McT, Lindelof out and 2 players in I'm happy.

Best window in over 20 years I think

People keep on about Lindelof, but has there even been half of a rumour?

You just know we'll be fielding Evans & Lindelof as a pair for some games this season.

Hah. Did all the percentile work and then just ignored the gigantic flaw in Scott McTominay's game. He's in the bottom 6th percentile for passes attempted a game. That means that 94% of the rest of the footballing world in Europe's top 5 leagues attempt more passes a game than Scott McTominay. He plays for Manchester United. That's a hideous stat.

Has to be next out. Couldn’t even back himself to try a through ball in a preseason friendly. We’re moving AWB on due to his limitations, same should be for McTominay.

Not 94% of the rest of the footballing world. 94% of the midfielders.

He keeps being compared to midfielders when he is clearly, demonstrably, obviously not a good midfielder.

Fenerbace are supposed to be after him. I think i read he'd provisionally agreed terms with them.

Take Pellistri too. No need of him at utd. Get the bayern double deal done. And a left back and at least one midfielder. Be fantastic window.
Mario Hermoso is available on a free. Left footed CB/RB, good technically. Good cover for Martinez and Shaw.

I like McTominay, but realistically, we need to get something for him, as we do with AWB and Sancho.
I believe that he will always pop up with goals, but he seems to disappear in some games, so a move would benefit all parties I believe.

He's also in the bottom 6th percentile for passes attempted, and bottom 8th for touches.

If he's not scoring, he's not doing much of anything. He's never contributed in the ways a midfielder needs to, and its a wonder he's managed as well as he has at United.

20m is a bid we should be taking, no questions asked

Yeah I saw that link. Definitely can't go into this season with no signing there. Shaw is unreliable for numerous reasons. Martinez shouldn't be shift to left back to cover and our right backs are for that side.

Whole point of passing is scoring. So if he just scores who cares? Also with midfielders it's about assists and we play counter attacking mostly so we won't have a high qty of passes. He's average at passing assists, and great at scoring.

Kai Havertz, Sean Longstaff all are similar mold players and have similar stats. And you know how much those players costs. So only reason to sell for less is if you think you know better than 3 of the best managers in the EPL or you just suck at valuing players.

Funny thing about McTominay is that a lot of people seem to think he had a breakthrough season last year.

I think whilst he was never top class he has actually regressed tremendously.

He used to have a real talent of coming out on top in midfield 50/50s and his ability to break through the press pretty regularly with decent basic dribbling was pretty useful and the best part of his game.

He could always knick a goal but has seemingly lost 2 of his main 3 skillsets.

Those debating for him to still be here have no respect from me as understanding a game of football.

4 assists in the last 5 seasons in the premier league. That’s less than one a season. Again, if he doesn’t score he doesn’t do much.

Not saying he's a great passer by any means if he could pass and score like that, the lad would be worth £85M.

All I'm saying is 11 EPL goals & the physicality he brings is worth more than £20M. At least £40M. Just because y'all hate his lack of passing skills doesn't mean his skills aren't valuable

Literally every club in the world disagrees with you, including United.

My god the delusion is strong

We just got De Ligt for £40M and Zirkzee for less than that. Would you take McT over both of them?

He's a 27 year old squad player with one year left on his contract. Some people here are massively overvaluing him. He's not worth near £40M, not close. He's similar to AWB; a squad plater who can start for a midtable team and blend in.

Not a single DOF in world football has deemed him worthy of a bid of even £30 million. So if no one is willing to even pay that for him, how on earth do you figure he’s worth £10+million more than that!?

You really think it’s everyone else in football that’s delusional and not you?

West Han were willing to pay that last season, then after his ‘breakout’, ‘best goal scoring’ season, no club offered for than £20m, if at all.

Almost as if DoF and coaches require more from a midfielder than a few goals that he might or might not score a season.

I am curious if we would have been better off if we sold McT off and kept Garner instead

How exactly is he great at scoring? He got 7 Premiership goals in 32 appearances last season which was his best ever. The way some talk on here you’d think he was peak Jimmy Greaves.

Keep unless we are able to sell on our terms. He provide alternative option in midfield and attack.
