Mathys Tel | on his way to SPURS. He’s going to Spurs lads. SPURS

I agree. And since he refused to sign a new contract (potentially) this makes nsot much sense.
I anyhow doubt he is the kind of player we need currently. We need a top striker who scores from das 1 imo
Tel's under contract until 2029, what "new contract" are you talking about? Are you confusing him with a different Bayern player?

Big clubs that are buyers wouldn't allow a buy back.
Well, Bayern aren't exactly a small club either, and they don't exactly have the habit of signing their players off on loan deals with pure buy options.

This club doesn't learn does it? Bayern paid less than half that amount for him, he hasn't done well there, isn't getting any minutes and yet we want to offer that much as the buy option. Contrast that to the fee Chelsea negotiated with us for Sancho.
I think Bayern triggered his release clause to be fair

Word is they'd prefer a full sale, and if a big club comes in buy backs won't be a thing.

It’s just an option. If he does well, there no reason we can’t negotiate down that figure.

We definitely need more options in the final third and at this stage of the season it would be good to have someone like Tel to become a option. He'd be replacing Rashford who hasn't been a option at all.

Tel is the last thing we need right now. A youngster that is completely unproven, has a chip on his shoulders due to high expectations, and has had a dowright horrible season so far as a consequence.

If it's a loan with a cheap option (something tells me that's not what Bayern will go for), ok, he could maaaayyyybe come good in the future, but in any case he will quite likely be of no help whatsoever right now. And if fans expect him to be, that transfer will be a disaster.
Our club is not in a sportingly patient situation and neither quite apparently in a finanically comfortable one. Spending our budget on more youngsters with massive question marks is not the way.

Exactly, then backlog to the fact Sancho wasn't replaced it forces Bruno as the left 10 with Garnacho who is still adjusting to playing more on the inside.

United required wider attackers since ETH's few windows, the lack of goals has been an ongoing issue not something that's happened this season in isolation.

Can we be linked to a player and for once not have people crying about the fee / the player being too young etc etc etc.

Folks it's probably this fella or nobody. Would you prefer nobody?

We definitely more numbers in attack and it's clear to see we're light in numbers in that regard. I think a move for a young player like Tel with a buy option is good for all parties concerned.

Was there any talk of buyback when Spurs offered €60 million? At those fees, the potential buyback price would be extremely high, and there are many young players who may come through for Bayern to worry about a player they have sold.

Also, how many clubs have ever exercised a buyback?

Would they take Zirkzee or Hojlund going the other way as a sweetner?

Considering they were happy to take 20m € for Zirkzee from us in summer, I doubt it.

He was one of the highest rated young players in Europe when Bayern signed him. He made his debut at 16 looked quality and has been fantastic at youth international level, that's why they paid 30m for him.

He hasn't played because Bayern have Musiala/Sane/Gbabry/Coman/Olise.

He's still an elite talent and when you look at his statistics per 90mins his overall performances have been excellent.
He had a great goals-per-minute ratio in the beginning of last season when he scored in a few short sub appearances. If this ratio hasn't massively declined since, that is because he never gets to play anymore. He has been very, very poor and ineffective this season in the rare instances he got a chance.

He clearly wants to still make it at Bayern. Not sure this is the way to go
Yep. The guy has been refusing to go out on loan despite not getting any minutes. If Bayern want to sell him, it's likely because they've realized he might not come good after all and are trying to cash in against the kid's will.

Rashford out Tel in seems like a hell of a result if it happens all things considered

But so far all reports indicate that Bayern are happy when he stays and it is the player who pushed for a move under the right conditions. Spurs apparently can't guarantee those.

I’d rather we try get Danny Welbeck on loan as he fits our no 9 needs. Tel seems like a younger Rashford /wide forward
I'm sure few people would be against this but he needs to be available in the first plac

FYI, Höjlund and Zirkzee have 5 PL goals combined this season. Do you realize how terrible we are upfront? Any decent striker would improve our chances in the EL.

This transfer is a formality in my opinion. Rashford is out the door. The player wants united. We can agree a loan with option for £45m. Job done.

If we could get a loan for Nkunku over the line too, that would be a great window. As poster above said our forward line stink.

We are short of two attacking players - one can be Tel and another summer purchase who is really the key - he would be shouldering a lot of attacking burden.

I'd take him on loan with an option, even though I agree that ideally we'd be looking for more experience as I think that's one of the bigger problems with our attackers.

Nkunku on loan would interest me more and Tel. He's got some Premier League experience and think he'd do well with a run of games.

Why would Brighton loan the CF they start every week to a PL rival, in the middle of the reason no less?

His incredibly valuable Premier League experience equates to 858 minutes. That's less than 10 full games. And 3 minutes more than that of Zirkzee.
