Thought he was poor last night, has a habit in big games of looking busy whilst always being away from the play. Looked at whoscored and he only touched the ball 16 times in 60 minutes.

Decent bench player, but along with Rashford as the same you're looking at two players on well over half a million a week as subs.

Absolutely expensive misunderstanding alongside Antony. Both must go.

He offered absolutely nothing except the ability to run.

Can be argued that ETH fecking it up with those two ultimately cost him his job. That’s 140m on two marquee signings that offered absolutely nothing since arriving here.

Stick Kudus and Caicedo in the team instead of those two and that fecker would probably still be managing us sadly enough.

I would take Antony 1000 times before him, and that itself tells alot about Mount.

He has trouble getting on the ball but I think he's decent on it with his decision making. Unfortunately, his style or nature is not to take more responsibility with it so until we start dominating games more and he gets more usage as a result, it's going to be a while if at all that he starts becoming a maverick attacking midfielder for us.

I will say there was one occasion in the first half when he starting pressing from the top right of Arsenal's half, then centrally to the keeper and then to the right back (Timber) when he actually did brilliantly to then corner him. It was a 2 vs 1 situation if Garnacho stepped in faster to press but he was too slow and disengaged, which was infuriating to watch after Mount's good work there. That kind of sums up his contribution for me sometimes as he's capable but it requires more team synergy and is reliant on others for his qualities to really come together.

I would have taken a good CM anyday over his transfer at the time but it is what it is now.

I really want him to do well and get back to some sort of form. I know he’s just getting back from another injury lay off but most the games he has played for United seem to be the same thing. Works hard and lots of defensive effort but does very little on the ball. Occasionally there are glimpses of things but just doesn’t seem like he can get back to that season where he was really good.

he wasn’t good but I don’t think he was bought by ETH and Murtough as a 10. I think he bought to replace to workrate of Fred and McT and to be cuter on ball. I still personally think Fred has been a big miss. Ugarte is going to be a great player for us but nobody in our team presses like Fred. I think he could have done a far better job than Bruno or Mount last night but there’s no shame in losing to arsenal away. Let’s see what he’s like when he picks up some form and fitness and nails down a position.

I don't know if he's replacing Fred. Eth most of the time played him as a 10.

On paper, Mount has some attributes to play alongside Ugarte: work hard, keep the ball well, more conservative on his passings, etc. The good thing with AMorim, he's willing to try players at different positions. And it seems like Amorim sees something in him. So let's see.

seems like we pretty much just bought a more expensive version of lingard? Hell arguably he provided more than mount has

I was not a Lingard fan at all but he certainly didn't spend the whole games running from and hiding away from the ball. Mount had 30 attempted passes in his first 3 games for us this season. 11 attempted passes yesterday. As another poster here said, that's impossible unless you are actively hiding from the ball.

This usually happens when someone has zero confidence in himself or the pressure for playing for United has gotten to him. My opinion is that mentality is even more important than ability and players that show stuff like this need to be binned out as soon as possible. We are not supposed to be therapists. Was a big mistake giving him the no7 too.

Which season was that? I assume you mean while he was at Chelsea cos, unless I'm missing something, he's done less than nothing since coming here

Out of all the English players we have had so far, they have been massive let downs.

Greenwood, no need to say anything there.
Mason, injured all the time, big money, no output so far.
Rashford, plays like the club is letting him down.
Sancho, not sure even cares about football.

You got the likes of Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and Bellingham who seemed to be giving their career the best trajectory possible and putting in the work. Is it something about United these days where you're not held accountable.

To be fair, Mount can't help bring injured, but we seem to take in players with no want to be the best they can be.

I am pretty sure Amorim has noticed that too. Decisions will be made soon, I don’t think Amorim will tolerate mediocre performances when the team is fit and up to speed

£60m transfer fee with £300k a week wage packet, astonishingly poor business by the club.

I always thought biggest issue post ten Hag era would be us saddled by incredibly poor business he did in the market which will severely restrict our ability to move on these players and in turn sign better ones.

It was the same for England. He never impressed, actually was invisible most of the time. And that was when he was performing for Chelsea under Tuchel. But even there, i thought it was more key moments, rather than dominating and impressing for whole games. Managers love him because he is running a lot without the ball and does what they ask of him, but he is just average on the ball and without output, is like playing with 10 in possesion. He had a purple patch, now with his true level, it is just not good enough.

When we bought him, after being injured and benched by Chelsea, it was obvious he would turn out to be a dud. It was just a stupid transfer, and should have bever been granted to ETH.

We need to sell in the summer and find some midtable club ready to offer a decent fee for English talent.

For some strange reason Ruben likes him contrary to the general opinion on here so let us see where that takes us.

Man Utd 2:3 Nottingham Forest New
Just a nothing player. Offers nothing when he starts and nothing off the bench. I'm where I was with Sancho now. Just cut our losses and get rid.

Has to be the most hyped player around considering he does absolutely nothing.

Who hypes him? No one wanted him at the club but ETH and the clowns on the board.

Loan then sell him. No one is buying him

I’ll admit I was one who thought he could be a valuable player here, I’m embarrassed that I thought that.

He’s had enough time and chances now. He contributes nothing to the team and has no attacking quality that the team can rely on.

He just runs around and fouls a lot. The bad Lingard was better than this.

I always thought he was overrated when he was at Chelsea and looking forward to his name on the team sheet when we played them.
Needs to be moved on he’s out new Lingard

Looked about as up for it as a child dragged to Christmas mass

Well, Amorim praised him a lot recently and he’s been regularly touted as someone who can improve our pressing. I’ve not seen any evidence to suggest he does that.

Mount is one of those players the other players and managers see the benefit that he brings to the team but fans don’t.

Carrick was the same sort of player, deserves to be spoken of in the same vein as Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes but isn’t.

Not a single technical attribute that he excels at. 60 mill for him to run around a bit and barely touch the ball. Most of the fans knew this before he signed too, but sadly, not our dead beat recruitment team. Pathetic signing.

Carrick was a vastly superior player. Horrible comparison.

He is shit and should be one of the first players out of the club in the summer. He has some value as well

I have no idea what kind of player he actually is? Looks okay as number 10, passable as CM. Do we pay him for those presses ? We can get a headless chicken and people here wont notice any difference

Jesus christ, what a car crash of a post.
