As one who has slated the signing, I thought he did alright last night. Even in the couple of cameos too, while nothing particularly note worthy. Would rather just see him continue to get fit and try to contribute something.

That is generous. Garnacho does more wrong than right. Mount is also way more of a team player. At that attacking midfielder position i would prefer Mount.

I agree that if i was defender i rather face Mount than Garnacho when i could pick one who would run at me with the ball. However Mount wont run at the defender with the ball. Instead Mount passes to a teammate, runs forward and will receive the ball back. That has a much higher succesrate than Garnacho his running and attempting a shot. I also like that Mount is willing to pass the ball while Garnacho will only pass the ball if he really has no other options.

For the rest of this season I'm satisfied with any performances that see him take to and leave the pitch uninjured. Until he manages to do that consistently, I don't think there's much point investing thought into his performance level.

Yeah. He'll be here until 2028 and won't go anywhere. Hopefully United is being sensible and still get a 10 this summer, and not making our no. 7 as a "new signing".

Probably. I want my 10 to be able to run at defender. Especially this Amorim's 10.

We signed him for a massive fee and on huge wages off the back of the worst form /run of injuries in his career. It was mental to sign him at that price particularly given his contract was running down.

But if he can stay fit for a few minutes he is clearly a useful option given how average our options at 10 are especially if Bruno plays deeper. Then we only have zirkzee (who is needed up front), garnacho (who has been awful recently) and hopefully also mainoo now.

In his defence, whenever he has played I’ve really liked what I’ve seen. He’s just never fit, I think his minutes amount to something like 13 full games.

He's been rubbish for Manchester United. No idea why he's adored for a champions league run at a time when Eden Hazard was starting games for Real Madrid. He's done nothing with his career since.

37 games in 2 years here, he's basically semi retired with 3 more years to go on £250k a week.

He's a player whose peak was early and brief.

Chelsea played a blinder getting us to pay £55m for him at the height of our incompetence and when it was clear he was already a flash in the pan player.

Should have specified English United fans, they seem to think he's some top bloke and only reason he hasnt been a succes is because of his fitness. He has never impressed for more than 45 mins, whether pre-season.
