Mason Greenwood, Marseille Footballer | Read the thread rules in the OP before posting

Because we don’t have a buy-back clause. Only a sell on clause. Marseille are obviously not going to sell to us for cheaper than they can get from PSG.

Most reports say we do have a buy back clause - not that I expect him to come back

Not much reliable info about the exact terms of any buy back/sell on though

Is it a 50% sell on clause? I read that psg offered Marseille 62m. If so we’ll get 31m not bad.

Do we only bump this when he scores a goal? Or is it appropriate to bump it when he’s dropped from the team because he isn’t showing the level of commitment required? Where are his apologists now?

Whether good or bad, its your decision to give it space in your brain. He's not a United player.

We all knew the answer. It was always ‘having an interest due to sell on clause’ etc. Funny how the post have dried up since he stopped scoring.

Thanks for posting, I was wondering why he was dropped. Will be interesting to see how he responds to this.

I only saw the articles, and not a peep about him here. I just think it’s interesting his apologists are only interested in him when he’s scoring
He scored last week and no one posted anything here either !

Just seems less interest in him in general really, only natural since he's not a United player anymore

He better sort his attitude out though as we need a big move for him in the summer to boost Ruben's summer kitty

He isn't the 'prolific forward' his apologists could project upon. A vehicle they can't use anymore.

Also, Greenwood needs to sort his attitude out in general, not just to boost anyone's transfer kitty.

I honestly don’t care how his career pans out at this point, so long as he isn’t beating and raping his partner any more. Fingers crossed being outed as an abuser gave him the shock of a lifetime and he has changed his ways, hopefully with the help of professional services and therapy

Ah, a TBR Football exclusive source. If you only know a tiny little bit about Bayern, it should instantly be clear that they will never sign a POS like Greenwood. And whoever comes up with those "exclusive rumors" is not a trustworthy source.
Bayern had like 3 domestic abusers simultaneously in their starting eleven at one point in the not so distant past so that's a laughable thing to say.

In a parallel universe somewhere, the year is 2025 and Greenwood, Rashford and Sancho are banging in ~50 league goals a season between them for a flying United side.

In this one...

It will be 50% above the fee that they bought him for. If they sold him or £10m, they wouldn’t be required to give us a penny.
Ye he ain’t going for 10m. He’s like top 2 goalscorers in the French league isn’t he. Well worth 70m+ now. If we get 40/45 for Rashford then he’s worth 100 easy

Very few clubs can afford that and those that can have the option to sign equally talented players that don't rape people. He is not moving anywhere for big money just like he is never playing for England again, I expect he will stay at Marseille for the duration of his contract.

People bumping this thread to complain about people not bumping the thread seems a bit odd.

I haven’t really watched him but doesn’t seem as though he’s been setting the league alight? Quite a lot of goals but a number of penalties in there. Seems like he’s doing a decent job but not one suggesting he will kick on to be one of the world’s best.

… some are more interested in banging people against their will.

Surely he wouldn’t go for anywhere near that amount? Or am I naive.
Not a chance. If he became a bit better, Marseille would sell instantly for 50/55M, make a profit and forget he ever existed. Ligue 1 clubs need money fast and i don't see Greenwood's value jumping from 30M to 100M playing in France.

I would be surprised if he went for even fifty, to be honest. Maybe that’s just me.

Maybe, depend how that clause works. Couldn't they in theory ask a club for 25M + a 20M player and give nothing to United ?

That’s a good question. I don’t know how clubs and contracts could protect against that. Didn’t spurs do something like this years ago?

Would this be the most prudent way of doing business with FSP or PSR or FFP or whatever it's bloody called now?

He’s already playing in France so PSG could be interested and sign him for big money. French fans will be use to him playing over there now

They can all get fecked but I think you‘d agree that there are different degrees.
I do yeah. Absolutely not meaning to equate Coman (whom I would gladly take at United) or Hernandez to Greenwood, just saying Bayern didn't exactly display a zero tolerance policy towards the issue in the past.

prior to your post this thread had last been bumped on 20th Feb by someone saying “I heard Bayern’s interested” and prior to that it had been on the 17th Feb by another poster saying there are rumours of PSG looking at him.

He last scored vs Nantes on 02/03/25 and prior to that it was vs St. Etienne on 15/2/25. No thread bumps.

A cursory look at transfermarkt shows that he’s scoring every other game - so the goals have hardly dried up and people aren’t bumping the thread when he scores. I don’t think most posters care outside of a potential move providing us some funds (coincidentally the last two bumps). Don’t understand why you went with that verse that the thread gets bumped when he scores, that doesn’t appear to be reflected by reality - at least recently - unless posts are just mass deleted

Imagine almost losing such a fortunate career because you're a scumbag, having a second chance gifted to you, and still having commitment issues. Madness.

What a waste of talent that guy turned out to be.

Was aware of Boateng's horrible past (his own mother denounced him) but never knew about Coman & Hernandez - 3 convicted abusers in the same team!
