Mandzukic is main striker at Bayern, Atletico and Juve, anyone who thought he isn't good enough for us are delusional, it's not like we are better team than those 3. He would give proper competition for Lukaku and gave him rest when needed. Rather him than Rashford to lead our line that's for sure.
Dosen't Mandzukic start most games for Juve? Most times I saw them last season he was in from the start anyway so don't see him going to Man. United just to be a bench player.

Mandzukic would be an amazing signing tbh. Those games where we are drawing or losing and need to throw on a striker, or when Rom needs a rest.

Apparently, Mandzukic could be included in a swap deal involving Darmian. I really wouldn't mind this, he's a decent goal scorer, strong and could be well suited to the PL.

Arnautovic is a good player and could easily be a squad player at a big club. Only thing there is the amount of money it would take to get him from West Ham is what you only pay for a starter, not squad player.
Mandzukic I wouldn't mind, hes very useful and gives Fellaini like qualities while being better all around anyway.
My #1 choice would be to just play Martial up top, but there you go.

I'd rather we develop Martial or Rashford more.
Arnoutovic shows on times to be an absolute menace, a match winner but I doubt he has it in him to make the step up to a club like utd.
I'd go absolutely nowhere near Mandzukic - feel we already have better here in Martial and he is not good enough to play on the wing. All these posts state he brings "fellaini like qualities" - this is exactly what is wrong with us. We need to do better than this mentality. We need better quality
I'm no agist but at 32, he'd be backup,. he'd be on good wages and him coming would probably seal it for martial to leave, so come next summer or the one after we're scrambling around for another high quality centre forward. Makes no sense for me
Mandzukic is a 32 year old striker who is slow and immobile - exactly what we don't need. On top of everything - he isn't even a particularly good goalscorer - I think he has about 1 goal in ever 4 games for Juve.

I agree, but this is Mourinho. I've accepted that Martial has no future under Mou, and Mourinho clearly always needs that target man and physical presence up top. Mandzukic to his credit is a good player anyway, and would do the striker role much better then Rashford IMO.

I don't want either but if it had to be one then obviously Mandzukic. His age isn't a problem if he's coming to be a squad option. Zlatan was 35 and playing week in week out. I also heard he plays on the wings sometimes so yeah Mandzukic over Arnautovic definitely but is it necessary? We already have Martial who can be moulded into that striker and has much more potential.

Doesn't Madzukic play on the left these days? Looking at whoscored, he barely played up front this season. I always found it strange that an ageing, big CF would get played there but his numbers have been decent somehow.
In regards to Bayern it should be said that he wasn't sent away because he isn't good enough, he was sold because we got someone like Lewandowski on a free and we had Guardiola as coach who obviously has different taste in strikers.
I'd like Mandzukic. But I'm not sure about the warrior tag he gets portrayed as. He is the worst diver I've ever seen and he falls down when a butterfly lands on him.
Mandzukic's work rate allows Sandro to roam freely on the left and his size and timing allows him to completely dominate fullbacks in aerial duels (see his two goals vs Real Madrid this year), more so than he would against a centreback. He is not sharp nor pacey enough to be the starting striker nowadays, but his style complements Higuain, Dybala and Costa (all three good with their feet and at creating space) really well.
He should no longer be a starter, but I would hate to see him leave. He's the very definition of a big game player.
I don't get it. We want a presence up top. In absence of Lukaku, we persisted with Rashford multiple times without success. Martial has shown more hold-up play than Rashford but wasn't given a chance. Now we are targeting an above average striker to continue with an old-fashioned, simplistic form of football. The said striker(s) won't come here to be a backup (as they are regulars in their current clubs) and will most probably start as a wide forward cause we know Lukaku is rarely substituted or rested.
Are they the best strikers we can target? Lukaku is not world-class and the choices are no better than him, so how can we improve from such transfer?
Hell, if we fail to bring in FBs who can cross, then next season is gonna be awesome.

Perfect, we need another right footed player on the left side to compete with Sanchez, Rashford and Martial. Mandzukic brings something different to the table, like no pace and very limited goal threat, so sounds good to me.

I was impressed with his improvement since moving from Stoke. He seems like a big move would inspire him to turn it up another notch.
