What point? Where did he pretend to write the books? Pretty much most celebrities have someone else do the actual writing for them whereas they're the ideas and the writer makes sense of it.Yes exactly my point
His name is front and centre of all the books. What point? Where did he pretend to write the books? Pretty much most celebrities have someone else do the actual writing for them whereas they're the ideas and the writer makes sense of it.
What are we doing here?
That's never the manager's job to "sell" any of the players, that's why he is manager and the club's transfer team has to deal with that shit.
I don't think Amorim cares. He was hired as a coach. He's coaching. He didn't give Rashford the contract he's on and he doesn't care, or shouldn't care, if the money men in the club are sweating.
This is not Amorim speaking from the heart. This is deliberate strategic words. These are not off the cuff comments. These are well planned well thought out words. Maybe not exact words but basically pre planned and I think backed by the board.
No need to torpedo any possible deal.
Actually, he should care. Having Rashford in the club is bad not only for the club, but for Amorin and as well. His ability to build a team depends on how much funds we have.
I don't think so.
The time for the manager/club to speak up was years ago.
Rashford won (he can do feck all and get paid a fortune) so now our only job is to make sure he leaves. Amorin words does nothing to help in that aspect.
I thought if the only option to sell Rashford was to take Fati off them would it be worth it? I don't know how good he is or how expensive. As a teen he was incredible for his age. Injury has really hampered him. Risky signing, especially when we already have Mount perma-crocked, Eriksen and Casemiro largely frozen out, Shaw always injured. Would take as a cheap punt if we can move some deadwood on, and bring in some additional options.
Spot on.We are a month into the transfer window, and no club wants to buy him / afford his stupid wages. Amorim hasn't put any deal in jeopardy because there isn't any going to be one in the first place.
Criticism should be directed only at Rashford and the idiots at the club who gave him that wage, not the one man who is trying to whip the culture of the playing staff into place FFS.
The post you replied to describing Rashford can also be applied to Fati. Incredible as a teen, injury has really hampered himI thought if the only option to sell Rashford was to take Fati off them would it be worth it? I don't know how good he is or how expensive.
Allegedly on £230k/w, so I'd rather notI thought if the only option to sell Rashford was to take Fati off them would it be worth it? I don't know how good he is or how expensive.

Yeah and Michelle Obama a lawyer, didn't write her own book herself but only her name is on the cover. His name is front and centre of all the books.
I'm not sure what you're confused about here?
100%imagine being on obscene wages, and your manager is still saying he'd start a pensioner over you because you do nothing but mope around and won't even try in training. Supposedly Marcus wants to make his way back into the england team? How are you even showing that? By posting on Social Media all the time from the stands?
I'll never take anything away from his off-field deeds, but this guy's footballing career is almost over. No one wants his wages, no one wants to buy him. He's going to be in the stands for the next 2-3 seasons and his career is over. When you put it like that, and he doesn't seem to realise it, it's probably best for him to retire and certainly justifies Amorim's position. The worst position you could take on Rashford is that he might actually feel he can outlast Amorim, and if that was also the case, that says EVERYTHING about this club.
Don't forget Owen Hargreaves and Dion 'Give Him a Hug' Dublin. Can we get a welfare check on Henry Wintey, Onuoha and all his other media cheerleaders, after yet another savage put down from king Amorim?
Timestamped for the Rashford question.
He's had a long week, it was a relief to win, and that was the last question.
I think he's made another gaffe and will regret what he said later. Amorim is too straightforward with the media for this own good. This is not going to help us if we don't manage to find a seller. Or if we're negotiating.
I'd argue that by taking a hardline publicly, he's forcing Rashford to consider the paycut for the sake of his career, both domestically and internationally.
You play poker with them right near the end of a window and when it looks increasingly like you're not getting back in the team, you start to sweat and make concessions.
That's the hardest he's worked all week putting that out. Bet he's in the ice bath.
To be honest, does this need more saying? The worst position you could take on Rashford is that he might actually feel he can outlast Amorim, and if that was also the case, that says EVERYTHING about this club.
Three match ban for Casemiro. Two footed lunge of a comment.
No.Should the club just offer him out as a free transfer to get him off the books?
Pretty sure all the school meals, books, look at me I'm a great guy type projects, are simply projects that use his name and he shows up for some photos and PR. Not a chance he's smart enough to write successful kids books. There is a team (mostly family) around him that do most of the work, he's the name and face and that's about it.
And it's really snide to try and use that against him, for all his flaws, agreedI think he's probably done quite a lot of really good things for his community and put a decent amount of his time and energy into it.
I don't really see any reason to say otherwise.
Shaw’s still injured
This is exactly why I was questioning the thing about the books earlier. It's just nonsense and people who hate him. Sure you can want rid of him, there are valid reasons for that. But digging him out for something pretty much all celebrities do is just icky. Like a celebration of hate. You'd think he'd done nothing good for Man Utd and has been a freeloader. And it's really snide to try and use that against him, for all his flaws, agreed
