Jose and RR weren't backed by the club, fair enough. But the fact that Rashford has not featured in so many games and is up for loan means that Amorim is being backed by this board. You say the soundbites about him training haven't worked - the interest from AC Milan till they signed Walker, and from Barcelona who are still looking to get a deal done by looking to free wages say otherwise. If the board is working with Amorim, shouldn't Amorim be also helping them out a bit?
Again, I love the honesty and no fear approach. It's unlike anything we've seen since Jose, and that's very refreshing. If I were to personally say feck what this means for the board or the club or the sale, and just about the team, I love that he's being direct, honest, and fearless because it means that we may have that personality we'd like to see on the pitch as well.
I'm not sure it was wise right now - Barcelona must be reconsidering their interest because of the PR backlash they may receive from signing a player who is so ill-thought of at United publicly now. Even if they believe he might be a good signing, how can they explain this one to their fans and expect them to be excited about the new bad apple?
